Forum to Hold Annual General Body Meeting , Pass Bylaws and Elect New President and Executive Committee

LEXINGTON, MA—The Indian American Forum for Political Education, known as Forum and IAFPE, is holding its annual general body meeting on Jan. 17 in Lexington, MA, to discuss changes to the organization’s by-laws and elect a new president and an executive committee for 2-year term.

“The agenda will include the activities update from past year, by-laws changes presented to the General Body for consideration and approval, summer internship award distribution and the election of new EC, Board of Trustees and the nomination committees,” Forum President Neena Kedia Mohanka told INDIA New England News.

Here are the details about the meeting:

Date – Sunday January 17th 2016
Time – 2-4 PM
Venue – Lexington Historical Society, 13 Depot Square, Lexington, MA
(Lunch will be available at minimal cost.)

The meeting is open to everyone.

“There is no ticket price but we will ask $20-30 to cover the lunch. We are still working on details about where to get the lunch from,” Mohanka said.

Mohanka said positions for all offices are open, including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, assistant secretary ad two members at large.

“Please join us and volunteer for this wonderful organization. We need to become more visible in the political scene of our towns and cities where we live in order to make a difference,” Mohanka said.
