Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Thassadiya’ Sets Festive Tone for ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’

MUMBAI — The makers of “Maa Inti Bangaaram,” starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, have released the film’s first song, “Thassadiya,” a high-energy wedding number that sets a vibrant and festive tone for the upcoming action-comedy family drama.

Composed by Santosh Narayanan, with lyrics by Rehman, the track features vocals by Chinmayi Sripada and Punya Selva. The song blends upbeat rhythms with celebratory choreography, bringing a lively wedding atmosphere to the screen.

Samantha leads the sequence with a commanding presence and sharp dance moves, anchoring the energetic visuals and offering a glimpse of the film’s tone, which combines humor, action, and family dynamics.

“Maa Inti Bangaaram” is created by Raj Nidimoru and directed by Nandini Reddy, who reunites with Samantha after their earlier collaboration on “Oh! Baby.” The film also stars Diganth and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles, alongside Sree Mukhi, Gautami, Anand, Lakshmi, Srinivas Gavireddy, and Manjusha. It is produced by Tralala Moving Pictures.

Earlier this year, Samantha described the film as emotionally grounded, with a narrative that emphasizes family while maintaining a quirky and edgy style.

“Maa Inti Bangaaram tells the story of a woman whose strength comes as much from her vulnerability as from her courage. Playing this character and nurturing this film as a producer has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for me,” she said.

The film also features Samantha performing many of her own action sequences, including scenes shot while wearing a saree—an element that adds both physical challenge and a distinctive visual style.

A source close to the production said, “After ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Citadel’, Samantha wanted to challenge herself further. In Maa Inti Bangaram, she’s doing most of the action herself, and doing it in a saree. It’s physically demanding and visually powerful, a portrayal audiences rarely get to see.”

“Maa Inti Bangaaram” is scheduled for release on May 15. (Source: IANS)
