Sameer Anjaan Recalls Kishore Kumar’s Playful Antics with Asha Bhosle During Recordings
Mumbai— Veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan recently shared a lighthearted memory of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and his playful camaraderie with Asha Bhosle during recording sessions.
Speaking about his interactions, Sameer noted that while Asha Bhosle sang fewer songs for him, she shared a close professional bond with his father and would always arrive at recordings in high spirits. “She used to meet him with so much love and dedication,” he said.
Recalling studio moments, Sameer described how Kishore Kumar would often try to lighten the mood by teasing Asha Bhosle. “Whenever he saw Asha ji, he would say, ‘Here she comes… today we will have some fun,’” he shared.
According to Sameer, Asha Bhosle would jokingly plead with him to stay focused. “She used to warn him, ‘Dada, please don’t start all this, let us sing first,’” he said. However, Kishore Kumar would persist, often insisting he had a story to tell, leaving everyone in splits.
Sameer added that despite the playful interruptions, Asha Bhosle understood it was all in good spirit, reflecting the warm rapport the two legends shared. (Source: IANS)
