LearnQuest Dance Festival Returns with Expanded Program and Signature Ensemble Performances
Set for May 9 in Framingham, the third annual festival will feature the North American debut of Enchantment alongside a full day of classical dance, global talent, and collaborative ensemble works.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — The LearnQuest Dance Festival will return to the Boston area on May 9, 2026, bringing a full day of Indian classical dance and ensemble performances to Keefe Regional Technical School. Now in its third year, the festival continues to grow in scale, drawing audiences from across the region for a mix of professional and student-led performances.
Running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event will feature a range of classical dance forms and theatrical productions, with a focus on ensemble work and collaborative performance.
A central highlight of this year’s program is Enchantment, a theatrical production exploring the life and inner world of music legend Ravi Shankar. Written by Gowri Ramnarayan, the production incorporates Shankar’s original recordings along with vocal compositions by Bombay Jayashri, offering a narrative-driven interpretation of the artist’s journey.
The festival will also present Kathak Yātrā, led by Shambhavi Dandekar, which traces the evolution of the Kathak dance tradition through group performance. Additional programming includes Sri Krishna Parijatham, a Kuchipudi dance drama directed by Sailaja Thummala, and a Bharatanatyam segment featuring group choreography by students of Sridevi.
Organized by Pallavi Nagesha, the festival brings together professional performers and local students on the same stage. Participants are supported with full technical production, reflecting an effort to provide a consistent performance environment across all levels.
The event comes as interest in Indian classical dance continues to grow in the region, with festivals like LearnQuest creating opportunities for both established artists and emerging performers to engage broader audiences.
