Salman Khan, Nayanthara Film with Vamshi Paidipally Begins Production in Mumbai with Pooja Ceremony

Big-budget action drama backed by Dil Raju launches with traditional pooja, targets 2027 release

MUMBAI — A highly anticipated film starring Salman Khan and Nayanthara and directed by Vamshi Paidipally officially went on floors Saturday with a traditional pooja ceremony in Mumbai.

The yet-to-be-titled project, currently referred to as #SVC63, is being produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. It marks the first collaboration between Salman Khan and Paidipally, adding to the buzz surrounding the large-scale production.

Following the launch ceremony, the team has begun a month-long shooting schedule on a specially constructed set in Mumbai. According to sources, the schedule will focus on key sequences, including high-intensity action scenes central to the film’s narrative.

Nayanthara is expected to join the shoot during this phase. The film is being described as an action entertainer with strong emotional elements, with Paidipally known for crafting character-driven stories within commercial frameworks.

Sharing his excitement, the director wrote on social media, “It all begins today,” signaling the start of the project’s production journey.

The collaboration has generated significant interest within the industry, given Paidipally’s track record of directing major stars across Indian cinema and delivering commercially successful films. His National Award-winning film Maharshi is often cited as a highlight of his career.

For Salman Khan, the film represents a new creative partnership with both Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, whose previous collaborations have yielded multiple box office successes. Khan has long been associated with blockbuster entertainers such as Dabangg, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Sultan, and the new project is expected to explore a fresh narrative space for the actor.

Additional details about the cast and technical crew are expected to be announced in the coming months. The film is currently being planned for a wide theatrical release in 2027. (Source: IANS)
