Kailash Kher Releases ‘Jogi,’ Inspired by Bhakti Tradition and Spiritual Heritage

MUMBAI — Singer Kailash Kher has released his latest track, “Jogi,” a soulful composition rooted in ancient folk poetry and spiritual teachings tied to the Bhakti tradition.
The song is described as a tribute to Bhakti and Sanatan Dharma, drawing from centuries-old devotional expression and philosophical thought. The accompanying music video visually traces the journey of Adi Shankaracharya, highlighting his role in establishing sacred mathas and shaping India’s spiritual landscape. It also pays homage to contemporary spiritual leaders who continue to carry forward those traditions.
Speaking about the release, Kher said the song represents more than just music.
“The same emotion felt by saints and mystics for centuries lives in this music. The vision of Adi Shankaracharya reminds us that true dharma is timeless — it continues to thrive in every seeker walking the path of truth,” he said.
Beyond his musical work, Kher has also been sharing glimpses of his personal life with fans. In March, he posted photos and videos from a trip to Almora in the Himalayas, showcasing local food and scenic views.
In one post, the singer is seen enjoying freshly made rotis from a traditional chulha while dressed in a shawl and woolen cap. “Snippets from the Himalayan home Chulhe ki roti, authentic food, crisp air, cool winds and a very happy inner child it,” he wrote.
Other clips showed Kher walking along hillside paths and taking in the landscape, offering a glimpse of a quieter, reflective side of the artist outside the studio. (Source: IANS)
