Mithoon and Palak Muchhal to Pay Musical Tribute to Dharmendra at Zee Cine Awards

MUMBAI, India — Music composer Mithoon and singer Palak Muchhal are set to present a special musical tribute to legendary actor Dharmendra during the upcoming Zee Cine Awards, celebrating a cinematic legacy that spanned more than six decades.
The tribute is planned as a heartfelt homage to Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, 2026. The performance will reflect the impact of a career that shaped generations of Indian cinema, honoring an actor remembered not only for his screen presence but also for his warmth, courage, compassion, and generosity.
Speaking at a press conference in Mumbai ahead of the awards, Mithoon shared his emotions about the upcoming performance and offered a glimpse into the tribute he and Palak are preparing.
“This year at Zee Cine Awards 2026, Palak and I will be paying a tribute to the legendary actor Dharmendra,” Mithoon said. “Some of the greatest songs of Indian cinema come from his legacy, including music created by timeless composers like Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Madan Mohan, and Pancham Da. My mission is to present the history of Indian music through Dharmendra ji’s discography in the most beautiful way, one that truly matches his legacy.”
Dharmendra’s career was marked by performances that resonated deeply with audiences, from moments of lighthearted charm to powerful silences that spoke volumes. Admirers often point to his authenticity as the defining element of his work, blending strength, vulnerability, and humility in a way that made his roles enduring.
The tribute aims to underscore the idea that while the artist may be gone, the art continues to live on. For those who grew up watching Dharmendra and for new audiences discovering his work, the musical homage is intended to serve as a reminder that true legends never fade, surviving through music, images, and stories told with heart.
