Youth Camp conducted by Acharya Vivek for rising 9th graders to rising 1st years in College to learn concepts of Vedanta through activities and discussion.

This will be an opportunity to spend time with Acharya Vivek ji, learn leadership skills and explore strategies for self-empowerment. In a society with constant challenges and without time for one’s own self-reflection, this camp will reflect on the life and works of Swami Vivekananda and provide a framework to explore one’s life and the purpose behind it.

“Instead of constantly chasing success, without clear direction or purpose, it will allow students to understand the importance of clarity behind every action,” organizers of the youth camp said in a statement. “Vivek ji will share simple practical techniques to learn Vedanta through lectures, group discussions and outdoor activities. The young people attending this camp will be in the company of other students going through similar phases in life.”

Vivek ji will be assisted by five Yuka Kendra volunteers. These are stellar youngsters who are now in college or have just started their careers. The camp attendees will have an opportunity to spend time with great role models who can guide them and share their experiences.

“The young people attending this camp will have opportunities to explore their inner creativity with fun activities,” the statement said. “The camp will explore the importance of non-verbal communication, appreciate the beauty of the same experience from different view points, and conceptualize and prioritize the significant people, objects, and aspirations all students have in life.
