Guru Randhawa Says ‘2 Eyes’ Explores Love Beyond Physical Sight

Mumbai — Singer-songwriter and actor Guru Randhawa has released a new romantic single, “2 Eyes,” featuring actress Nikita Dutta, describing the song as an exploration of how physical sight can never fully capture the depth of love or a person’s beauty.

The Punjabi track marks a return to the soulful, story-driven style associated with some of Randhawa’s earlier songs, including “Ban Ja Rani” and “Moon Rise.”

“The song is about how our physical eyes can never truly capture the full depth of love or a person’s beauty. We rely so heavily on sight, but true love is felt in the soul,” Randhawa said.

“Physical vision is just a limitation; two eyes simply aren’t enough to absorb their entire existence. It’s an acknowledgment of that beautiful frustration where love is so nuanced it completely transcends the physical world,” he added.

The song combines romance with a more emotional storyline centered on the idea that sight alone cannot fully define love.

The music video begins with Randhawa playing cricket when a stray shot leads to an encounter with a woman played by Dutta. He then imagines a romantic future with her before realizing that she is visually impaired.

Dutta said she immediately felt the song had a distinctive emotional quality.

“The song bridges a dreamlike romance with a deeply moving narrative. Filming it was a fantastic experience because we captured this effortless, relaxed chemistry in the beginning, which makes the emotional payoff at the end resonate deeply,” she said.

“Guru Randhawa’s vision for the track is incredibly poetic, and I think audiences are going to love the warmth and depth we created together.”

“2 Eyes” is now available on major streaming platforms. (Source: IANS)
