Sanskruti Jayana Says She Prepared ‘Krishna Govinda’ in 24 Hours

MUMBAI, India — Actress Sanskruti Jayana said she prepared for the Garba track “Krishna Govinda” from the upcoming drama “Krishnavataram” in just 24 hours.
The song, which features Jayana as Satyabhama, has drawn attention ahead of the film’s release. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the track is part of the film’s music rollout.
“It all came together really fast, within 24 hours, almost like it had its own urgency, learning the lyrics, finding the rhythm, stepping into it,” Jayana said.
She described the experience as deeply personal, saying the voices associated with the project had been part of her journey as a performer.
“Growing up, I’ve danced to these voices, dreamt of them, rehearsed to them, imagined myself somewhere in that world. And today, to be given a voice by Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, and Neeti Mohan, it feels unreal in the most quiet, overwhelming way,” she said.
Jayana said the experience eventually felt larger than a regular film shoot.
“Somewhere in the middle of it, it stopped feeling like just a shoot. It started feeling like her,” she said.
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, “Krishnavataram” is presented and produced by Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant of Creativeland Studios Entertainment, along with Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar.
The film is planned as the first chapter in a three-part franchise and is scheduled to be released May 7.
Jayana recently visited Mathura, considered Lord Krishna’s birthplace, and met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the trip. She also showed him the trailer for “Krishnavataram.”
She later visited Dwarka in Gujarat, where she met Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and offered prayers at the Satyabhama temple and Dwarkadhish temple.
“I wanted to offer my prayers at Krishna Ji’s Janmabhoomi and Karmabhoomi, and since I am playing the role of Satyabhama, I also wanted to ensure that I visit the Satyabhama temple and Dwaradhish temple and seek blessings from the divine. It was such an emotional moment with the aarti, darshan, and devotion,” Jayana wrote on social media. (Source: IANS)
