Ridhi Dogra Reflects on Solitude and Emotional Independence

MUMBAI, India — Actress Ridhi Dogra has shared a reflective note on solitude, emotional independence and finding comfort in being alone.
Dogra posted several photos of herself from a cafe, wearing a maroon mul cotton saree. Alongside the images, she wrote about the strength that comes from being at ease with one’s own company.
“They say when you’re not afraid to eat in a cafe alone/watch a movie alone/be on your own you become dangerous…. Of course they’ll say that. Coz you just slightly broke the matrix. You are one with yourself. One with the source….” she wrote.
Dogra said being comfortable alone allows a person to move beyond the expectations of others.
“You are not here to please or live off their expectations…. You learn to love people without holding them. You love even while letting go …. That is not how majority operate, So They don’t know what to do with you anyway….” she added.
She concluded the post by saying solitude can become a source of strength.
“Not because life spared you loneliness, But because you befriended it, Sat with it and turned it into your little love story… #musings.”
Dogra began her acting career with “Jhoome Jiiya Re” in 2007 and later gained recognition for her role in “Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi.” She has also appeared in television shows including “Savitri,” “Diya Aur Baati Hum” and “Woh Apna Sa.”
She played the title role in “The Married Woman,” a web series directed by Sahir Raza and co-starring Monica Dogra.
Dogra made her film debut with “Lakadbaggha,” an action thriller directed by Victor Mukherjee. The film stars Anshuman Jha, Dogra, Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman, and follows an animal lover who uncovers an illegal animal trade network in Kolkata and becomes a vigilante to save animals.
