‘Candy And The Pizza Ggirl’ Trailer Unveils Chaotic Night of Illusion and Colliding Realities

Mumbai— The makers of the upcoming dark comedy-drama Candy And The Pizza Ggirl have released the film’s trailer, offering a glimpse into a surreal, chaotic night unfolding in Mumbai where multiple lives spiral into confusion, illusion, and unpredictability.
Directed by debutant Akkhil Kapur, the film explores a fragmented world where characters struggle to maintain control as reality begins to blur and collapse.
At the center of the story is Bobby, played by Ninad Kamat, an ageing, flamboyant party enthusiast who believes he is in command of his life even as events spiral out of control. He is joined by Candy, played by Shivani Singh, a hyper-visible social media influencer driven by validation and external approval.
Adding to the chaos is the mysterious Pizza Ggirl, played by Priya Banerjee, an enigmatic presence whose unpredictable actions subtly disrupt the lives around her. Mickey, portrayed by Dara Sandhu, is a struggling actor so immersed in his craft that he begins to lose the boundary between performance and reality.
Speaking about his directorial debut, Kapur said the film is built around the fragility of control and how quickly it can collapse.
“This story is about the illusion of control and how quickly it can fall apart. Every character is living in their own version of reality, believing they’re in charge, but one moment is enough for everything to spiral,” he said. He added that the film explores “parallel realities colliding” where chaos becomes inevitable.
Lead actor Ninad Kamat said the unpredictability of the narrative and its layered characters drew him to the project.
“What really drew me to this film was how unpredictable and layered the world is. None of the characters are straightforward,” Kamat said. “As an actor, it was exciting to be part of a story where you are constantly questioning what is real and what is not.”
Backed by Full Moon Studioz, Candy And The Pizza Ggirl is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on April 10.
The film promises a stylized blend of dark humor and psychological chaos, set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s nightlife and urban disorientation.
