Neha Sharma roped in as face of jewellery exhibition
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Neha Sharma has been roped in as the face of jewellery exhibition Glamour.
A three-day event that will start from July 27 at TajLands End, Bandra, the exhibition is all set to celebrate Indian bridal fashion and emerging jewellery trends at its luxurious best, said a statement.
Neha shot an exclusive campaign of Glamour early this month that was “styled by none other but our very favourite designer Rocky Star and was shot by fashion and celebrity photographer, Rahul Jhangiani”.
“Shooting for this campaign was very exciting and indeed an experience of a kind. I have had a lot of fun working with my favourite people and my team on this project. Most importantly, I am very thrilled to be a part of Glamour 2018 and look forward to meet all my lovely fans there,” said the actress.

I’ve always looked up to Rajkummar’s work: Mouni
Mumbai– Mouni Roy is set to play Rajkummar Rao’s wife in the upcoming film “Made in China”, and the actress of “Naagin” fame says he is a tremendous actor.
“I think Rajkummar is a tremendous actor and I have always looked up to his work. I can’t wait to start working with him. I am even more ecstatic to be a part of Maddock Films,” Mouni said in a statement to IANS.
“Made in China” will start rolling in September in Mumbai and then travel to Gujarat and China. The film will be directed by Gujarati director Mikhil Musale.
This is Rajkummar’s second collaboration with Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films after the horror comedy film “Stree”, which will hit theatres on August 31.
“We wanted someone who’d connect with the heartland and Mouni, a typical Indian beauty, has a huge fan following. She has a strong personality but gentle eyes and is a good dancer,” Vijan said.
“She has started working on her Gujarati dialect. Rajkummar will start preparing soon and knowing the chameleon that he is, I’m sure he’ll quickly get under the skin of the character,” he added.
Anupam Kher travels in metro for first time
Mumbai– Veteran actor Anupam Kher travelled in the metro for the first time and described it as a great experience.
Anupam on Tuesday took to Twitter, where he shared a few photographs from the metro and captioned it: “Thanks to the horrible traffic at Saki Naka, Mumbai… had a great experience travelling by Metro for the first time ever. Loved the experience and the people in it. Jai Ho.
On the work front, Anupam will next be seen in “The Accidental Prime Minister”.
The film is based on a book by Sanjaya Baru, a former media advisor to Manmohan Singh. Akshaye Khanna features as Baru, and Divya Seth Shah plays Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur in the movie.
It is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, along with Hansal Mehta as the creative producer.
The script of “The Accidental Prime Minister”, produced by Bohra Bros, is written by Mayank Tewari. It is slated to release on December 21.
‘Beyhadh’ child actor Rakshit enters ‘Mere Sai’
Mumbai– Actor Rakshit Wahi, who featured in “Beyhadh”, will play the grown-up version of Tatya in the show “Mere Sai”.
In the upcoming track of “Mere Sai”, viewers will get to see the mother-son relationship between Baija and Tatya.
“When I was a part of ‘Beyhadh’, my appearance was different from my present look. The television audience showered me with love and affection when I was a part of ‘Beyhadh’. I am hopeful that they will like my performance as Tatya in ‘Mere Sai’ as well,” Rakshit said in a statement.
“Mere Sai” is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
Rana Daggubati extends KWAN South to Chennai
Chennai– After Hyderabad, actor Rana Daggubati has expanded the footprint of KWAN South — which aims to herald a new era for the entertainment ecosystem of south India — to Chennai.
A year ago KWAN Entertainment entered into an agreement with production powerhouse Suresh Productions — heralded by Rana Daggubati — and introduced a specialised division — KWAN South.
Since them, some names on board include Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Regina Cassandra and Huma Qureshi. The company has taken a holistic approach in talent representations and focuses on building profiles rather than managing basic logistics and dates.
Chennai will now be home to KWAN South’s second office.
Rana said in a statement: “We are acting as catalysts in the industry’s transformation while giving long due credit to our massive industry on the national platform and serving best interests of audiences with ace content and products.”

Shaleen Bhanot looking for positive roles
New Delhi– Actor Shaleen Bhanot says he has not played a “quintessential hero” for the longest time so he would like to play that first.
“This year I am not in haste. I want to do something good. For me, work is always good. It is never bad but when I say ‘good work’, I mean to play a good character and not a bad one,” Shaleen told IANS.
“I was playing Duryodhan in ‘Suryaputra Karn’. I want some positive roles now. I love them. Also, I have realised that I have not played a quintessential hero for the longest time so, maybe I will play that first,” he added.
He featured in the opening episode of Colors’ new show “Kaun Hai”.
Horror and supernatural seem to be the favourite genres of the telly world.
“Every human being has a head and hair but everyone is unique. It’s the same thing with shows. The way I had shot it and the way it came out was brilliant. It is scary,” he said.
“I am a five-year-old kid when it comes to horror movies. I have seen two-three films. I hate my friends for that. But I closed by eyes and shut my ears,” he said.
This is not his first horror show. He had also appeared in “Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai” and “Aahat”.
“I had done those about 12 years ago and in these 10-12 years, I had not done any horror show. The definition of horror was completely different back then. Now, it is actually scary. The prosthetics and all look very real,” said Shaleen.
So, why did he take up “Kaun Hai”?
“I usually don’t do episodic shows. It was the launch episode so, I took it. It was shot in Kashmir and I am very fascinated by hills and mountains. It was great fun,” he said.
He is also set to make his Hollywood debut.
