Salman Khan Joins Ganpati Celebrations at Sohail Khan’s Home

Mumbai — Bollywood superstar Salman Khan arrived at his brother Sohail Khan’s home for Ganpati celebrations, joining family members and friends in welcoming Lord Ganesha.

Salman, who is currently hosting “Bigg Boss,” kept his look casual but once again wore headgear, as he has during several recent public appearances, reportedly to conceal his look for an upcoming film.

Other guests included Pooja Hegde, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and social media personality Orry.

The Khan family is known for celebrating Ganeshotsav each year, reflecting the family’s multi-faith traditions. Salman regularly takes part in prayers, aarti and other festivities with relatives and friends.

On the work front, Salman is preparing for the release of “Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace,” directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is based on the June 15, 2020, Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops during the broader border standoff along the Line of Actual Control.

Ananya Panday Returns Home for Ganpati Celebrations

Mumbai — Actress Ananya Panday returned home in time for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and welcomed Ganpati Bappa with her family.

Sharing photos on Instagram, Ananya wrote, “Back home just in time for my fave to come home. Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

The actress posed with her parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavna Pandey, in front of a decorated Ganpati idol. She wore a multicolored suit and also shared a photo with her pet dog.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Divya Dutta, Tusshar Kapoor, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh, also shared glimpses of their Ganpati celebrations on social media.

On the work front, Ananya was last seen in Vivek Soni’s “Chand Mera Dil,” alongside Lakshya Lalwani. The film was released in theaters across India on May 22.

Amitabh Bachchan Shares His Trick to Get Jaya Ready on Time

Mumbai — Amitabh Bachchan has revealed the trick he uses to make sure his wife, veteran actress and MP Jaya Bachchan, is ready on time for events.

The actor shared the anecdote on “Kaun Banega Crorepati” after contestant Vijay Laxmi asked whether he had ever had to wait for his wife to get ready for a wedding or other function.

“Aapko ek tarkeeb batata hoon… main unko kehta hoon baarat joh hai 5 baje aane wali hai… Toh 3:30–4 baje se unka shringar shuru ho jata hai, aur time pe pahuch jaate hain hum log,” Bachchan said.

He explained that if they need to reach an event by 6 p.m., he tells Jaya it starts at 5 p.m., prompting her to begin getting ready earlier so they arrive on time.

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan have been married for more than 50 years. They have two children, actor Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan.

Manoj Bajpayee Recalls Spending Time With Real-Life Dacoit

Mumbai — Actor Manoj Bajpayee once recalled spending time with real-life dacoit Maan Singh while working on “Bandit Queen.”

A clip from one of Kapil Sharma’s shows has resurfaced online, showing Bajpayee discussing how director Shekhar Kapur asked him to observe Maan Singh closely for the film.

“Maan Singh used to live with me when I was in ‘Bandit Queen.’ Shekhar Kapur told me to study him. So, I followed him,” Bajpayee said.

He recalled that Maan Singh remained highly alert even while riding in a car and would repeatedly instruct the driver to speed up or slow down.

“I asked him what he was doing. He said, ‘Old enmity can come at any time,’” Bajpayee added.

“Bandit Queen,” starring Seema Biswas, was based on the life of Phoolan Devi and explored the violence, caste oppression and abuse that shaped her life before she became a notorious bandit and later entered politics. The film received critical acclaim but also sparked controversy over its graphic content and depiction of Devi’s life.

Kajol Wears Saree Gifted by Daughter Nysa for Ganpati Darshan

Mumbai — Actress Kajol added a personal touch to her Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations by wearing a saree gifted by her daughter Nysa while visiting a Ganpati pandal.

Sharing photos on Instagram, Kajol said the gajra in her hair was crocheted by her friend Kamalrukh Khan, while another friend invited her for darshan.

“My daughter gave me the saree, my best friend crocheted the gajra in my hair @kamalrukhkhan, my other best friend called me for darshan @bhaavgandhi and Bappa gave me his blessing. I am so loved,” Kajol wrote.

The actress posed with a Ganpati idol visible in the background as she joined the festive celebrations in Mumbai.

Kajol also recently marked her son Yug Devgan’s 16th birthday with an emotional Instagram post, saying she still sees him as the little boy he once was while wishing for him to grow into a courageous and kind man.

Priyanka Chopra Jokes About Football Taking Over Her Sundays

Mumbai — Priyanka Chopra Jonas gave fans a playful glimpse into life at home with husband Nick Jonas as football season gets underway.

Sharing a post on social media, Priyanka joked that Sundays in her house will sound very different over the next four months.

“What every Sunday will sound like in my house for the next 4 months. So happy football is back. @nickjonas,” she wrote.

Nick Jonas responded with a laughing emoji.

Priyanka also recently shared a photo with daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, with the pair wearing matching cherry-print outfits.
