Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali and Swaroop Khan Collaborate on ‘Dhola Ji’ for Sunny Deol’s ‘Suryaa’
MUMBAI–Singers Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali and Swaroop Khan have joined forces for “Dhola Ji,” a new song from Sunny Deol’s upcoming film “Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak,” combining traditional Rajasthani folk influences with contemporary Bollywood music.
Released by Zee Music Company, the track is the second song from the film’s soundtrack, following the release of “Suniyo Zara.”
Featuring actors Siddharth Sharma and Vriti Vaghani in its music video, “Dhola Ji” draws inspiration from Rajasthan’s musical traditions while incorporating modern arrangements and multiple vocal styles.
Javed Ali described the song as a celebration of love, family and shared happiness, emphasizing the importance of emotional expression in music.
“Dhola Ji has romance, warmth, and the feeling of people coming together for a happy occasion. For me, the emotion in the words is what makes a melody connect. This song gives that emotion room to breathe, and bringing our four voices together adds to its celebratory spirit,” Ali said.
The song brings together the distinctive voices of Ghoshal, Ali and Khan, combining their individual singing styles with musical elements associated with Rajasthan’s folk heritage.
Khan, known for his connection to Rajasthani folk music, said the track reflects the region’s tradition of using music to bring people together during celebrations.
“Rajasthani folk music has a warmth that makes people feel at home. Dhola Ji carries that spirit, and it means a lot to be part of a song that celebrates it on this scale. I would love to hear it at family gatherings and weddings, with people singing along and making it their own,” Khan said.
The track is intended to evoke the atmosphere of traditional festivities, particularly weddings and family gatherings, while appealing to audiences familiar with contemporary Hindi film music.

“Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak” is directed by M. Padmakumar and produced by Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut.
The film is presented by Kamal Mukut and M M Moviez and stars Sunny Deol in the lead role.
