Mumbai– Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is set to return to action in the upcoming film Heads of State, recently shared a hilarious anecdote from the first day on set — involving a prank pulled off by her co-stars, John Cena and Idris Elba.
Recalling the moment, Priyanka said she was simply trying to break the ice with her co-actors, but ended up walking into a trap.
“The first scene we were doing together, I literally went in thinking I’ll break the ice. I walked in and said, ‘I don’t see you’,” Priyanka shared in a statement.
Unbeknownst to her, the line was the setup for a prank. “John and Idris were standing together, and Idris immediately said, ‘Now you’ve offended him. He hates that.’ I panicked. But then I realised they were both just taking the piss. That totally cracked the ice.”
Heads of State is a high-stakes action-comedy set against a backdrop of political chaos and international danger. Priyanka stars as Noel Bisset, a top-tier MI6 agent assigned to protect two of the world’s most powerful leaders — Will Derringer, the President of the United States (John Cena), and Sam Clarke, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (Idris Elba).
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film also features an ensemble cast including Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles. Known for its adrenaline-pumping sequences and sharp comedic undertones, Heads of State marks Priyanka’s much-anticipated return to the action genre.
The film will premiere globally on July 2 on Prime Video in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. (Source: IANS)
