MUMBAI– Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra says his latest track Sunn Mere Yaar Ve, from the upcoming film Param Sundari, is exactly the kind of love song that stays with listeners long after it ends.
“Sunn Mere Yaar Ve is my kind of love song — the kind that lingers long after you’ve heard it,” Malhotra said. “Bringing this emotion alive on screen was truly special, and I’ve always felt that love melodies have a unique place in my journey. Aditya’s soulful touch adds an extra charm to the track, and I hope fans experience that same magic when they watch and listen to it.”
The romantic ballad marks the third track from Param Sundari and features the vocals of singer-songwriter Aditya Rikhari, brought on board by composer duo Sachin–Jigar.
“Being a part of Param Sundari feels truly special. Sunn Mere Yaar Ve is my new Bollywood song, and I’m grateful to be part of a film I was myself looking forward to,” Rikhari said. “Collaborating with Sachin–Jigar, whom I deeply respect, has been an incredible experience. Sidharth and Janhvi’s chemistry looks just amazing on screen, and I can’t wait for listeners to vibe with the track the way I did while creating it.”
Set against the lush backwaters of Kerala, Param Sundari tells the story of a cross-cultural romance between a North Indian man, played by Malhotra, and a South Indian woman portrayed by Janhvi Kapoor. The film, described as a heartfelt mix of laughter, chaos, and unexpected twists, is slated for release on August 29.
Maddock Films, which is producing the movie, has billed it as a modern-day love story in the tradition of Mani Ratnam’s classics. “It’s like those films Mani-sir used to do, like Saathiya,” producer Dinesh Vijan told Variety earlier, referencing the Hindi remake of Ratnam’s Alai Payuthey.
