Former IMANE President Dr. Geeta Trivedi Passes Away at 86

Respected physician, community leader, and former IMANE president remembered for a lifetime of service to medicine, family, and the Indian-American community.

WINDHAM, N.H. — Dr. Geeta Trivedi, a respected physician, community leader, and former president of the Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE), passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at 4:44 p.m., surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the wife of the late Dr. Rajendra Trivedi.

Dr. Trivedi was widely admired for her lifelong commitment to medicine, community service, and the Indian-American community in New England. As a former president of IMANE, she played an important role in strengthening the organization and fostering professional and charitable initiatives among Indian-American physicians.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Trivedi was known for her generosity, compassion, and devotion to family. Throughout her life, she supported numerous religious and charitable organizations, reflecting her deep commitment to service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in her honor to Sri Laxmi Temple in Ashland, Massachusetts, the Blind People’s Association in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, or the Satsang Center Hindu Temple in Woburn, Massachusetts.

She is survived by her children Jagdeep and Heena, Rageen and Monica, and Dhaval; her beloved grandchildren Dharma, Dhruv, Nikhil, and Divya; and a large extended family of relatives and friends whose lives she touched with kindness and wisdom.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Carrier Family Funeral Home in Windham, New Hampshire. A private cremation ceremony for family members will follow.

Dr. Geeta Trivedi will be remembered not only for her contributions to medicine and community leadership but also for her warmth, humility, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Her legacy lives on through her family, the countless lives she impacted, and the institutions she helped strengthen over a lifetime of service.
