Imtiaz Ali Shares Patiala Sunset Memory From ‘Main Vapas Aaunga’ Shoot

Mumbai, Maharashtra — Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has shared a nostalgic moment from the shoot of his upcoming film “Main Vapas Aaunga,” posting a photo from Patiala featuring cast members Vedang Raina and Sharvari along with the crew.

The image shows the group seated on the grass during sunset, appearing to be in the middle of a relaxed conversation. “memories of the shoot – golden sunsets in Patiala with @sharvari @vedangraina (sic),” he wrote in the caption.

Speaking earlier about the film, Ali said memory plays a central role in shaping its visual style. The story follows Ishar Singh Grewal, a 95-year-old man reflecting on his college days, with the imagery designed to mirror how memories evolve over time.

“We followed the memory, the images in the memory of Ishar,” Ali said. “When it is remembered 78 years later, it acquires a rose tint.”

He added that the team used specific lighting, lenses, costumes, and camera techniques to recreate the feel of a “happy memory.”

The film is produced by Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films and is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 12.

Akshay Kumar Tells Wamiqa Gabbi “Bas Karo Yaar” Over Her Jokes

Mumbai, Maharashtra — Akshay Kumar appeared amused but exasperated as co-star Wamiqa Gabbi bombarded him with a series of jokes during a lighthearted moment shared on social media.

In a video posted on Instagram, Wamiqa quizzed Akshay with puns, starting with, “Sir, if someone’s aunt (Massi) lives far away, what will you call her in English?” before answering it herself: “Pharmacy.”

She followed it up with more wordplay, including a joke about badminton players being caught “because they were using a racket,” and another punchline, “Name a place where singing is not allowed — Nagaland.”

As the jokes continued, Akshay eventually reacted with, “Bas karo yaar,” signaling he had heard enough.

Wamiqa captioned the post inviting fans to share more jokes, writing, “Premiqa ke PJ pe hasi hui faraar, Akshay sir bole, ‘Bas karo yaar!’ … Please aise aur joke ho toh bhejo, I am reading all comments (sic).”

The video drew mixed reactions online, with some users finding the jokes funny while others joked about Akshay’s reaction.

“Bhooth Bangla,” which reunites Akshay with director Priyadarshan after nearly 14 years, was released in theaters on April 17. The film features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, and Tabu, and is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.

The actor, known for hits such as “Vicky Donor,” “Badhaai Ho,” “Bala,” “Dream Girl,” and “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan,” said he has worked hard to build credibility by choosing content that appeals to a wide audience.

“I like my films to be clean, keeping in mind that an entire family… can sit down together to watch it in theatres,” Ayushmann said, adding that audiences consistently show up for such entertainers, which he sees as a “huge responsibility.”

He is now set to continue that streak with his upcoming film “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,” co-starring Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

“With Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, we are taking a familiar, loved space and giving it a fresh, contemporary twist,” he said, adding that the film’s humor and confusion-driven plot aims to entertain audiences when it releases May 15.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by T-Series and B R Studios, the film follows a husband caught in a chaotic situation involving three women.

Sanjay Dutt Praises Riteish Deshmukh’s Direction on ‘Raja Shivaji’

Mumbai, Maharashtra — Sanjay Dutt has praised director Riteish Deshmukh while reflecting on his experience working on the upcoming historical film “Raja Shivaji.”

Speaking at the film’s trailer launch, Dutt, who plays Afzal Khan, highlighted his long-standing bond with Deshmukh. “Riteish is my younger brother, and we go back a long way… I really enjoyed working in the film,” he said, adding, “I am not like Afzal Khan.”

Dutt described the shoot as challenging but rewarding, noting that Deshmukh led the project with dedication. “He does not scold. He does whatever he wants… He directed this film so well. Absolute pleasure,” he said.

“Raja Shivaji” chronicles the life and legacy of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, focusing on his rise and the founding of an independent kingdom.

The film features a large ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Boman Irani, and Genelia Deshmukh. Produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, it is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1, 2026, in Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu.

Khan shared a screenshot of a message she received on Instagram questioning her decision to marry Krish Pathak, with the user writing, “So, in the whole world, you only found a Hindu to marry? So disappointing,” and adding, “Remove ‘Khan’ from your name. You are not a Muslim anymore.”
