Varun Sood opens up on intimate scenes with ‘Karmma Calling’ actress Namrata Sheth

Mumbai– Actor Varun Sood, who essays the role of Ahaan Kothari in the streaming show ‘Karmma Calling’, has opened up on the intimate scenes with his co-actor Namrata Sheth on the show.

Shooting intimate scenes can be a little tricky at times and needs a delicate balance to bring out the scene aesthetically and ensure comfort of the actors. The two actors found their comfort as they developed good understanding between each other and the show director Ruchi Narain.

Talking about the same, Varun Sood said, “There was actually no preparation that we took for shooting the intimate scenes because I think there was a very nice understanding between Ruchi, Namrata and I. And obviously people who watch it think that Oh my god, how was this shot and all. But actually it is pretty technical and professional. You decide the whole thing, you catch the light you are listening to the director while it is happening”.

He further mentioned, “You have to just build that rapport with your co-actor, build that comfort and be like okay, let’s get this done, it’s another scene because we have more things to shoot after this. So there was actually no nerves or fear when shooting that scene. Everything was very comfortable and everything was natural”.

Produced by R.A.T Films, ‘Karmma Calling’ is based on the U.S. original series ‘Revenge’. The show is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

Shahid Kapoor: Cinema should show things that are not possible in real life

Mumbai– Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who is gearing up for his upcoming film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, has said that cinema should present stories that people in real life might not experience.

The actor said that the subject of his film might be something that hasn’t yet happened in real life but that, he confidently said, will connect with the audience.

‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, which also stars Kriti Sanon, follows the story of a computer engineer, played by Shahid, who falls in love with a humanoid robot, played by Kriti.

Talking to the media on Thursday, Shahid said, “When ‘Mr. India’ was released, nobody in the audience thought of something like that but it did well, it’s one of our iconic films. We didn’t ask the makers that ‘this is not possible in real life, so we should not attempt telling a story like this’. One of the earlier blockbusters of Arnold Schwarzenegger is ‘Terminator’, the audience connected with it and that’s how it became a franchise. He also played a futuristic robot in the film.”

He further mentioned, “There are many films like that in Indian cinema as well, the best example is the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Robot’. I feel, in cinema we should show those things that are not possible in real life. The audience only cares if a film is well-made, if it is the audience does show its love for the film.”

Sushmita Sen: ‘I feel Aarya’s pain as it’s my own’

Mumbai– Actress Sushmita Sen, who is gearing up for ‘Aarya Antim Vaar’, has said that the pain of her titular character of Aarya Sareen feels very personal to her.

The International Emmy nominated series follows the journey of its titular character, who is an independent woman putting all her might to protect her family. She joins a mafia gang in order to get revenge for her husband’s murder.

Elaborating on the same, Sushmita Sen said: “Just like I always say, playing Aarya for three seasons makes me feel her pain as if it’s my own. When we filmed the scenes where all her kids – Veer and Aaru turn against her, it broke my heart. There is a point in the series where she feels totally alone against the odds, even felt short of a family.”

She further mentioned: “I think that truly got to me and felt gratitude towards my own family and felt inspired by how Aarya handled it so well. She is like one of us, working hard every day to protect her family. I was really emotional, and it felt like every part of me was sharing Aarya Sareen’s feelings, but again she fought through them and you’ll know the how and why in Aarya Antim Vaar.”

‘Aarya Antim Vaar’ is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from February 9, 2024. (IANS)
