Shekhar Kapur’s daughter has some acting conditions
Mumbai–Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur says his daughter Kaveri will only act in his film if she gets to compose music for it too.
“I asked Kaveri if she would act in my film. ‘Only if I can compose the music,’ she replied firmly. Now that’s confidence,” Kapur tweeted on Thursday.
Currently training under the mentorship of two Grammy-winning personalities — A.R. Rahman and Tim Molyneuz — Kaveri will also be releasing her fourth untitled single demonstrating folk meets world music, featuring indie band Maati Baani later this year.
Raveena Tandon’s marital bliss story
Actress Raveena Tandon walked down memory lane on her wedding anniversary on Thursday, and said she looks forward to creating more happy memories with her husband and film distributor Anil Thadani.
“Fourteen years gone by, of love and laughter, trust and honesty, equality and companionship, happiness and togetherness through thick and thin… Seems just like yesterday, and many more,” Raveen posted on Twitter.
Raveena married Thadani in 2004. They have two children — daughter Rasha and son Ranbir. She had previously adopted Pooja and Chhaya as a single mother in 1995.
The actress is known for films “Dilwale”, “Mohra”, “Shool” and “Shab”.

I want to be global icon: Alankrita Sahai
Mumbai–Alankrita Sahai has made her debut with “Love Per Square Foot”, and says she wants to be a global icon for all the women.
“My dream is to be able to connect with everyone, make them laugh, make them cry and most importantly grow as an actor and win hearts across the globe. I want to be a global icon for the women in our country,” Alankrita told IANS.
“My inspiration are Meryl Streep, Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey and Rekhaji,” she added.
The Netflix Original film also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, Raghubir Yadav, Rekha Bhardwaj, Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar, among others. The romantic comedy film is helmed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
Talking about her role, she said: “I play Rashi Khurana. There are various shades to the character.”
Alankrita wants to nourish her skills and “make a living out” of her craft.
As far as her future projects are concerned, she said: “I have two films in the pipeline. You will definitely find out soon.”
Pallavi to play character with grey shades
Mumbai– Actress Pallavi Rao, who has worked in shows like “Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi” and “Dhhai Kilo Prem”, will essay a character with grey shades in the show “Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala”.
“Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala is a special show for me. I will be seen as Kullfi’s mami (aunty) and will have shades of grey which will be very interesting to watch,” Pallavi said in a statement.
The Star Plus show will also feature actors Mohit Malik, Anjali Anand and Shruti Sharma, among others.
“Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala” will go on-air on March 19 replacing the current show “Ikyawann”.
The upcoming show revolves around the musical journey of Kullfi who is chirpy and charming.
Johny Lever inspires me to be a comedian: Rajeev Nigam
Rajeev Nigam, who can be seen in the show “Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai”, says that Johny Lever, known for his perfect comic timing, inspired him to be a comedian as he “is very honest in his performances”.
The show is a political satire which showcases a corrupt politician, Chaitu Lal in his madcap world. The story revolves around a few politicians in the nation who make promises and never deliver and are unapologetic about going to any extent to gain power.
Rajeev, who has featured in episodes of the comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”, said in a statement: “When we think of comedy, we think of Johny Lever. He has been in the industry for 40 years now and has not only made audiences laugh, but made them roll on the floor with incessant laughter through his performances in films and on television.”
“Johny Lever inspires me to be a comedian because he is the best at what he does and is very honest in his performances,” he added.
