Kajal Pisal: Don’t want audience to remember me for the role I played before

Mumbai– Actress Kajal Pisal, who is currently seen in the show ‘Jhanak’, shared that she always tries to explore new opportunities, calling herself a learner and an explorer.

Kajal essays the role of Tanuja Basu, an antagonist in the show.

She said: “As an actor I have always tried to explore new opportunities moving out from whatever I essayed before. I want my audience to move out and not remember me for a role I played before but to celebrate for what I’m currently playing.”

“And by God’s grace my work is helping me to set a new onscreen identity among my audience. And this is giving me a taste of real success, but again I never see myself as a successful actor, as I’m still a learner and an explorer,” shared Kajal, who was seen in the show ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’.

Speaking about her role, she said: “Tanuja is a completely different person from the roles I essayed before. I have essayed negative roles many times before. But here she is not actually negative but extra possessive for which her actions and words sound rude. She is very practical and modern.”

“She is not someone with double standards. Whatever she thinks, she speaks out. And she loves her family beyond. Her only intention is to keep the identity of her Basu family shine in the society,” she added.

‘Jhanak’ stars Hiba Nawab, Chandani Sharma and Krushal Ahuja in lead roles.

Kangana subtly refuses to work with ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is gearing up for her upcoming directorial ‘Emergency’, has reacted to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s statement about working with her. While she accepted the compliments given to her by the ‘Animal’ director, she quietly refused to work with him.

Recently, Sandeep expressed his wish to work with the ‘Queen’ actress as he said he is open to work with her, in an interview.

Kangana had criticised Sandeep’s film ‘Animal’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role, talking about which the filmmaker said he doesn’t mind her remark.

Reacting to the director’s statement, Kangana took to X and penned a note.

She wrote, “Review and criticism are not the same, every kind of art should be reviewed and discussed, it is a normal thing. The way Sandeep ji showed respect towards me by smiling at my review, it can be said that he not only makes manly films, his attitude is also manly, thank you sir.”

She further mentioned, “But please don’t ever give me any role otherwise your alpha male heroes will become feminist and then your films will also be beaten, you make blockbusters, the film industry needs you.”

Kangana had previously criticised ‘Animal’ in a post on X.

Reposting a fan’s tweet, she had said, “Paid negativity for my films is overwhelming, I have been fighting hard so far but even audiences are encouraging women beating films where they are treated like sex objects and asked to lick shoes. This is deeply discouraging for someone who has been dedicating her life to women empowerment films, might shift careers in coming years, and want to give the best years of my life to something worthwhile.”

Deepika Padukone gave a ‘pep talk’ to ‘non dancer’ Mahesh Shetty before filming a song

Mumbai– Actor Mahesh Shetty recalled how “sweetheart” Deepika Padukone gave him a pep talk before filming ‘Sher Khul Gaye’ from ‘Fighter’ as being a “non dancer” he was very nervous to shoot for it.

He then recalled: “I clearly remember the day we were filming ‘Sher Khul Gaye’. I being a non-dancer was a little petrified since I was dancing along with none other than Hritik and DP themselves but she took me aside, gave me a much-needed pep talk and put all my inhibitions at ease.

“I will never forget and will always cherish that day and how she helped me and got me rolling with the thought that I’m doing well and ‘jo hoga dekha jayega’.”
