Richa, Neil-starrer to release in India, China on September 21
Mumbai– Bollywood film “Ishqeria”, starring Richa Chadha and Neil Nitin Mukesh, will release in India and China on September 21.
“We are absolutely ecstatic and proud that we are the first in Bollywood industry to release our film ‘Ishqeria’ in India as well as in China simultaneously on September 21, 2018. The film has been passed by the censor board in China and soon we will finalise the chain,” the film’s co-producer Yusuf Shaikh said in a statement.
“So far all those who have seen it have loved the film and the good part is that they all love the music very much. Hopefully, we can make the Chinese dance to this lovely Indian music by Papon,” he added.
The film helmed by Prerna Wadhawan also stars Bani J and Raj Babbar.
Jacqueline, Sonam share dating fundas
Mumbai– Actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja says it is important to stay true to one’s personality while dating.
The stars talked about dating when they appeared on talk show “Feet Up with the Stars” presented by Voot Originals and hosted by celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, read a statement.
Jacqueline also said that she would like Sonam to be her Tinder swiping friend and Sonam nominated Jacqueline as somebody who should be on Tinder.
While sharing dating tip, Sonam said: “Be yourself, be comfortable in your skin. If you want to dress up, dress up for yourself not for the other person.”
As for Jacqueline, she said people are better off not listening to her dating tips.
But, if she was on Tinder, she would swipe right on guys who had creative and effortless pictures, and that gym and portfolio shots were a no no.
Imran Khan gets into direction
Mumbai– “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” actor Imran Khan has donned the director’s hat for the first time for a short film titled “Mission Mars: Keep Walking India”.
“Mission Mars: Keep Walking India” is part of Johnnie Walker The Journey campaign. Imran has written the film, which is produced by Dharma 2.0 (a venture by Dharma Productions).
“It has been an enriching experience writing and directing this tribute to India’s commitment to progress, and for this to be backed by Johnnie Walker – The Journey and Dharma 2.0 made it even more special,” Imran said in a statement.
“‘Mission Mars’ has made all of us so proud, and I have tried to encapsulate the spirit of all those who made this achievement possible,” he added.
Inspired from events about the story of India’s rover successfully orbiting Mars and on the eve of its fourth anniversary, Johnnie Walker – The Journey is launching the film which celebrates the country’s technological progress. The film stars Prakash Belawadi, Abhishek Saha and Sonali Sachdev.
It is scheduled to be digitally released on September 20.
Sahil enjoys working when directors give liberty while acting
Mumbai– “Student of the Year” actor Sahil Anand says its fun to work when the director of the project gives liberty while acting.
He is seen in Viu’s series “Banned”.
Speaking about the director, Sahil said in a statement: “The director of ‘Banned’ – Ashish Shukla, was very open to ideas. It’s fun to work when the director gives you all the liberty while acting.
“Most directors have an approach where the lines should be delivered cut to cut, nothing more and nothing less. But for ‘Banned’, he gave us complete freedom to act.”
“We would suggest some ideas and give a few pointers additionally of how we think a scene could go about. He was so open, would always welcome any suggestions and even shoot some of those scenes.”
Sahil feels that there are very few directors in the industry who would listen to the actors and give them the free will to express themselves.
It’s double celebration time for Namish Taneja
Mumbai– Actor Namish Taneja is excited as it’s his birthday and his show “Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo” will premiere on Tuesday.
He cut his birthday cake with co-actors Neelu Vaghela and Srishti Jain.
“It’s the biggest birthday gift for me. On my birthday, my show ‘Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo’ is going on air. This year, I celebrated my birthday with my reel family,” Namish said in a statement.
“I cancelled my birthday party with friends and that money was donated for Kerala relief fund. Neelu Vaghela is one of the greatest actors and working with her is a great experience.
“They treat me as a prince on set and during the cake cutting ceremony, they even showered flowers on me,” he added.
“Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo” will premiere on Sony Entertainment Television on Tuesday.
Neelu Vaghela inspired by Kareena Kapoor
Mumbai– Actress Neelu Vaghela took inspiration from Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan for her new show.
In the latest show “Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo”, Neelu is seen playing Satya Devi, who is a doting mother and a lawyer.
Kareena’s performance as a lawyer in the movie “Aitraaz” helped Neelu to ace her performance of a lawyer in the show.
“The moment I got to know that I would be playing a lawyer, the first person that came to my mind was Kareena Kapoor. I was blown away by her performance as an advocate in ‘Aitraaz’,” Neelu said in a statement.
“I don’t know how many times I have watched the movie to observe her body language and mannerisms as an advocate. It really helped to get into the character of a lawyer,” she added.
Great films on India being made only by foreigners: Anupam Kher
Toronto– Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher wonders why great films on India are being made only by foreigners.
In Toronto for the premiere of Australian director Anthony Maras’ debut feature film “Hotel Mumbai” based on the September 2008 terror attacks, Kher said: “This is fascinating that the film ‘Gandhi’ was also made by a foreigner. Now this (‘Hotel Mumbai’) film has also been made by a foreigner. Thank you, Anthony, for making this movie. This film is a tribute to everybody who has lost a dear one anywhere in the world.”
Without naming the person, Kher said: “Somebody had made a film on it (Mumbai terror attacks), but it was atrocious. That person wanted to cash in on the tragedy.”
But Anthony’s “Hotel Mumbai” “humanises'” the tragedy that Mumbai went through 10 years ago, the actor added.
“The Taj Palace Hotel is not just another hotel. It is an icon and its owner — the Tatas — are a respectable name not just in India but also around the world,” he said.
At the press conference, Kher revealed that “Hotel Mumbai” is the 501st film of his career.
As he was congratulated by the cast, the veteran actor said even his mother asked him for the first time as to how he did so many films.
“‘Hotel Mumbai’ is my 501st film. My mother, who is 85, asked me ‘How did I do it?'” said Kher.
The movie premiered at the on-going Toronto International Film Festival on September 7. (IANS)
