Ranveer Singh Greets Airport Staff, Police Officers With Warm Handshakes
Mumbai — Bollywood star Ranveer Singh was spotted at the airport late at night, warmly greeting staff, security personnel and police officers before heading inside.
Dressed in a casual black-and-white outfit, Ranveer was seen stepping out of his car and taking time to shake hands with people around him.
A video circulating on social media shows the actor greeting airport staff, security personnel, police officers and members of his security team with firm handshakes. He also briefly interacted with others nearby before entering the airport.
The appearance comes days after Ranveer and his wife, Deepika Padukone, shared black-and-white family pictures featuring their daughter Dua. The photos were posted on September 8, Dua’s second birthday.
Ranveer and Deepika are expecting their second child. They welcomed Dua in September 2024 and have largely kept her away from the public eye.
On the work front, Ranveer is associated with the upcoming project “Pralay,” which is currently being filmed.
Kareena Kapoor Says Meghna Gulzar Made Her Hold Back Expressions in ‘Daayra’
Mumbai — Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan says director Meghna Gulzar pushed her to deliver a restrained performance in the upcoming film “Daayra,” in which she plays a police officer.
Speaking at the film’s trailer launch, Kareena joked that she saved her trademark expressions for the event because Gulzar repeatedly asked her to hold back during filming.
“I am very expressive. You must be aware that I have given 100 expressions on the trailer launch,” Kareena said.
She said much of her role involved sitting behind a desk and interviewing other characters, requiring a controlled performance.
“The camera was always on my face. But my legs were always like this,” Kareena said, mimicking her legs shaking. “When will that expression of a Bebo come? And she would be like, no.”
“So I think it has brought a different dimension to my personality,” she added.
Kareena also said she is looking forward to the film’s September 18 release, three days before her birthday.
“And now I can’t wait for 18th of September. So I want the audience to give me a birthday present. Because my birthday is on the 21st. So I am sure it’s going to be amazing,” she said.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, “Daayra” is set to release on September 18.
Preity Zinta Rushes Across Globe for Twins’ First Day of School
Mumbai — Actress and entrepreneur Preity Zinta says she rushed across the globe to make it home in time for her twins Jai and Gia’s first day of school.
Preity shared pictures and videos from her journey on X, including a photo of herself aboard a flight and a view from the aircraft window.
“Rushed across the globe to make it for ‘First Day of School’ Wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world! Ting,” she wrote.
Preity, who lives in Los Angeles with her husband Gene Goodenough and their twins, frequently travels between India and the United States for work. She was recently in India promoting her upcoming movie “Vibe.”
The actress has also spoken about balancing motherhood with her career, saying she is fortunate to have a strong support system.
“I am very lucky and fortunate and I’m very grateful to God that I have a lot more means so I can have help. I couldn’t have come here if I didn’t have help,” she said.
Preity added that support cannot replace a mother and praised women who balance work and family without the same resources.
On the film front, Preity recently returned to the big screen after an eight-year hiatus with “Batwara 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and backed by Aamir Khan Productions. The film, starring Sunny Deol, was released on August 14.
Manisha Koirala Praises Father Prakash Koirala for Putting Political Career Aside for Nepal
Mumbai — Actress Manisha Koirala praised her father, Prakash Koirala, for putting his political career aside while remaining committed to his vision of a stable and prosperous Nepal.
In a social media post, the “Dil Se” actress reflected on her father’s political journey, saying politics was never simply a profession for him but a lifelong passion and responsibility.
“Happy Father’s Day Daddy I have always admired your deep understanding of politics, your ability to analyse beyond the obvious, and your unwavering commitment to Nepal,” Manisha wrote.
She said her father studied Political Science and was encouraged to enter politics by her grandfather, veteran Nepalese politician B.P. Koirala.
“Yet what defines you most is your simplicity. You have never sought attention or recognition. Quietly, you continue to dream of a stable, prosperous Nepal—even when it meant putting your own political career aside,” she added.
Manisha also shared a throwback photo of herself hugging her father.
Prakash Koirala is a Nepali politician and former cabinet minister who served as a member of parliament. He is the son of former Nepalese Prime Minister Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala.

Mumbai — Actress Rashmika Mandanna says her journey has taught her the importance of believing in yourself, working hard and being open to new opportunities.
