He will visit Shivkhori shrine in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Shivkhori cave shrine is devoted to Lord Shiva.

Shabana Azmi denounces Oscars red carpet culture

Mumbai–Veteran actress and activist Shabana Azmi is amazed to see the desperation to conform to set beauty standards at the Oscars red carpet, and called it a huge pity.

“Watching Oscar Red Carpet and I am struck by the desperation to conform to set standards of beauty,” Shabana tweeted on Sunday.

“Nicked tucked bosom out, b**t strutted. Such pressure to not accept yourself as you are. What a huge pity,” she added.

The actress, who has always been vocal about censuring the beauty and fashion standards set by international film festivals and award galas, did not mention which edition of Oscars she was watching.

For many, the Oscars not only stands for celebrating the best of Hollywood, but also for setting fashion goals and beauty trends. The 90th Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 4 in Los Angeles.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ mints over Rs 150 crore in China

Beijing–Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has amassed over Rs 150 crore in China since its release.

After two years since it opened in India, the film released in China on March 2 this year, becoming Salman’s first ever movie to release in the market — where Aamir Khan’s entertainers are the biggest Bollywood attractions.

According to a statement issued by the makers, the film is doing well in the foreign market.

“Eros International and Salman Khan Film’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has an outstanding second Saturday in China, collecting $3.35 million. Running Total: $23.11 million (Rs 150.70 crore),” the statement read.

The Kabir Khan directorial narrates the story of a Hindu man out on a mission to take a young Pakistani girl, who is dumb and mute, back to her country. It chronicles his adventures and experiences during his road trip.

The film also features child artiste Harshaali Malhotra, actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

“Bajrangi Bhaijaan” got a good start in China by raking in Rs 18 crore on its opening day.

Accodding to the Chinese box office, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” surpassed the first day collections of Aamir’s “Dangal” in China. However, it fell short of Aamir’s last release in China, “Secret Superstar”, which minted Rs 40 crore on its opening day in the country.

Mohit Madaan excited to act with Rajpal Yadav

Gandhinagar–“Aksar 2” actor Mohit Madaan, who is awaiting the release of his film “Ishq Tera”, is excited to share screen space with known faces like Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi and Narendra Jha in an untitled movie.

“I’m shooting in Gujarat along with (actress) Gurleen Chopra and (actor) Rajpal Yadav. The movie is being directed by debutante Awani Agrawal and produced by a new production company called Holy River Creations. Popular actors like Manoj Joshi and Narendra Jha will also be seen in the movie. I’m really excited to work with them,” Mohit said in a statement.

“My character is the most sought after real estate agent in his company. His boss can completely rely on him due to his ability to finalise property deals in no time. However, he meets a girl during a business trip. That property deal is not as easy as it looks and things take a turn during this deal,” he added.

His character faces challenges. Later, he realises that the woman with whom he is romantically involved, is not who he thinks she is.

“It’s more of a mystery,” he said.
