“So breaking news! We attended our dear friends @bindraamritpal’s 90’s BOLLYWOOD theme bash! So ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ it was for us! Gauri Khan channelled her inner Tina, Putlu channelled Anjali and me of course had to be RAHUL !!! Don’t miss the most embarrassed @iamsrk photobombing our poster recreation!” wrote Karan.

It all started in August, when Priyanka tweeted in support of the Indian Army, following which, at an event in Los Angeles, a Pakistani woman accused the actress of “encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan”.

The actress, who tackled the situation then, opened up about the controversy once again recently.

“It was unfortunate what happened, and… I never have been, never was, and never will be pro-war and that is in my statement itself. My work for all of these years is a testament to that, and I don’t feel I need to keep regurgitating it,” she told thedailybeast.com.

At the event in August, the Pakistani woman had said: “You are United Nations Goodwill ambassador for peace and you are encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan. There is no way you are in this… As a Pakistani, millions of people, like, me, have supported you in your business.”

Priyanka had then replied: “I have many, many friends from Pakistan and I am from India. War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments of people who do love me and have loved me. But I think that all of us have, a sort of, middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well.

“The way that you came at me right now… girl, don’t yell. We’re all here for love,” she added.

Mahesh Bhatt: Longevity of films matter to me, not debut grosses

Mumbai– Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt says he is more interested in the longevity of his films than by their debut grosses.

Mahesh on Wednesday took to Twitter, where he shared a poster of his film “Zakhm”, which was released 21 years.

He wrote: “I am more interested in the longevity of my films than by their debut grosses. I ask does it have anything to say in 10 years or 20 years? Could it still have legs? Could it still be around? History is rife with films that we love today that were ‘bombs’ on their opening weekend.”

“Zakhm” is considered of Bhatt’s finest directorial efforts and is said to bear autobiographical shades. The film won Ajay Devgn a National Award as Best actor, and also featured Pooja Bhatt, Sonali Bendre, Nagarjuna, and Kunal Kemmu as a child artist. The film won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.

Bhatt on Wednesday announced that he is venturing into the digital space with a web-series based on the relationship of a struggling filmmaker and a top actress of the seventies.

Deepika Padukone: Rahul Dravid my all-time favourite cricketer

Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone confesses being a huge fan of former Indian international cricketer Rahul Dravid.

“My all-time favourite cricketer is Rahul Dravid. A lot of my idols are not what they have done in the sport and the game, but how they have conducted themselves outside. For me, he is somebody I have admired and looked up to, and he is from Bangalore,” she said.

Deepika also emphasised on the importance of sports in life.

“How much we focus on our physical strength — our mental strength and mental endurance — is equally important if not more. At times you feel your body is not keeping up with the mind. I think sometimes it’s the mind that takes over — and nurturing that is very important. A young athlete will figure that along the way, but they should pay attention to that — the grit, courage, determination and spirit is important,” said Deepika, on Star Sports’ pre-show Nerolac Cricket Live.

Deepika soon makes her debut as a producer in the self-starring “Chhapaak”, directed and co-produced by “Raazi” maker Meghna Gulzar. The actress portrays real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the film.

Janhvi will next will be seen in the Netflix original film, “Ghost Stories”, a horror anthology featuring four stories directed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar. She features in Zoya’s segment and says that she had an enjoyable experience working in the project.

“I have recently done a short film for Netflix and I had a very enjoyable experience working on it. It feels good to work in a short film because mostly we do a film’s shoot over 50 to 60 days. It becomes very monotonous after a certain point. In a short film, however, you go in with a lot of energy and the shoot is over quickly, without distractions. In feature films, most of the time you have to juggle between two to three shoots unlike a short film where you get the chance to finish shooting at one ,” noted Janhvi, at a special screening of a short film named “Sepia” along with the film’s director Archit Kumar.

In the Zoya Akhtar segment of “Ghost Stories”, Janhvi features alongside Vijay Varma and Raghubir Yadav.

The quartet that directs “Ghost Stories” has collaborated twice before — on “Bombay Talkies” (2013) and “Lust Stories” (2018).

On the Bollywood front, Janhvi will be seen Sharan Sharma’s “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl”, Hardik Mehta’s “Roohi Afza” and Collin D’Cunha’s “Dostana 2” next year.

“Aa jana” has been composed by DJ Chetas and Lijo George, and produced by Jjust Music.

Jackky said: “In music just like in other creative aspects, the right connection among the collaborators is so essential. For me, making music is not just a passion but a great opportunity to jam with talented artistes.
