On “Aamir ki Paathshala” on Tata Sky Acting Adda, Aamir spoke about his motto of success, his responsibility as a film producer and more, read a statement.

“I don’t feel fear of failing, I fear not trying. As a producer or a director, when a story grips the audience, that’s when I feel, I have achieved something out of my art,” he said.

Starting from an early age, Aamir had been heavily influenced by his director father Tahir Hussain, who always asked him, “How will you describe the story in one line? What’s the premise of your story?” These questions helped established a base in Aamir’s life for the selection of scripts of his movies.

As an actor, Aamir said: “I don’t charge a single rupee for my films. It is my responsibility to take care that the cost is recovered and the whole crew has been paid. And when this is done, I get my share in profit. This gives me a sense of responsibility, of which you all can see the results.”

The actor will soon be seen in “Thugs Of Hindostan”, Yash Raj Films’ mega project which features Aamir for the first time with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. They are joined on-screen by Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in what promises to be a high-octane action drama.

“I am very aware of my surroundings and the environment we live in. Being a mother, I am extremely particular about having a clean home and mindful of the dust and indoor air pollution we are subjecting ourselves to in our daily lives. Health and fitness is of top priority for me and my family,” Kareena said in a statement to IANS.

The actress endorses Honeywell, which offers indoor air purification solutions. The brand has come up with a ‘Healthy Sleep’ campaign, which draws attention to the fact that even while sleeping, we inhale the polluted air which is full of germs, dust and PM2.5 particles, which is why sound sleep alone is not always a healthy one.

Promoting the thought that a healthy sleep is more important than a ‘good night’s sleep’ for an active, more productive and a healthier lifestyle, Kareena said: “To tackle indoor air pollution, I have my house aired out regularly, apart from having plants placed indoors and trust air purifiers to provide clean breathable air for me and my family.”

The film is a real life tale of an innocent farmer from Bihar who was, through bribery, declared dead in his town’s official records by his relatives to illegally capture his land. Lal Bihari had to then fight with the Indian bureaucracy for 18 long years before he could prove himself to be alive.

“The story of our film is based on the real life incidents of Bharat Lal aka Lal Bihari from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh who struggled 18 years in a legal battle to prove his identity that he is not dead but alive. For the story that he (Satish) conceived, according to him I was the correct person to play the part.”

“He called me to hear the story and I liked it very much.”

Actor Sahil Vaid’s father wanted him to be a soldier

“I used to do theatre. I enjoyed doing it. I never thought of coming to Mumbai and becoming an actor. I come from a family of soldiers,” Sahil said during a session at the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star on Monday.

“My uncle, who is a retired Brigadier, said ‘You can’t hand over a rifle to someone and say go be a soldier’. That’s not possible. When I was 15 or 16, he asked me if I wanted to be a soldier. I said ‘no’.”

The actor had never thought of becoming a soldier.

“I was missing my mathematics and science classes to do theatre. I asked why I couldn’t do that all my life. He said ‘This is not going to pay you enough. If you are serious, you should go to Mumbai and do movies’. I agreed to do that.”

But it wasn’t easy to convince his family, especially his father.

“My father always wanted me to be saluted. He always dreamt of me being a soldier. It was very hard to convince him,” he said. (IANS)
