Katrina bored with ‘hardworking’ tag, wants poetic adjectives
Mumbai–Actress Katrina Kaif says that she has heard numerous compliments terming her “hardworking”, but she would rather prefer more poetic adjectives. “I have said this already, I want to hear more adjectives… I want to hear dream-like, talented, wistful, beautiful – I want to hear poetic ones,” said Katrina on Wednesday at the Reliance Digital store for the promotions of her film “Fitoor”.
Her response was to the query regarding her “Ek Tha Tiger” co-star Salman Khan calling her “most hardworking in the industry” and almost like a “mazdoor” (worker). Her mother in “Fitoor”, Tabu had also claimed that Katrina was the most hardworking actress.
“If my co-stars find and feel that I’m a good worker and a hard worker, that’s good because in all seriousness there is so much riding on a film, everyone puts in so much of their life, hardwork and money. So the most you can do is to give your best, work with your full heart, work as much as you can, then leave it up to god,” she added. Katrina and her co-star Aditya Roy Kapur promoted “Fitoor” in various cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad recently. But she is not tired and wants more.
“Fitoor”, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, is releasing on February 12.
Ajay Devgn has ‘intense’ role in ‘Fitoor’
Mumbai–Actor Ajay Devgn features in an intense role in upcoming film “Fitoor”, says a source. The Abhishek Kapoor-directorial, featuring actors Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Tabu, is releasing on Friday.
“Ajay is having a very important intense role in the film. He will be seen sharing a very intense scene with Aditya too,” said a source.
“Fitoor” is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’s classic novel “Great Expectations” and will have Katrina playing Firdaus, while Aditya will portray the character of Noor.
Sonam plans to direct incredible stories about strong women
Mumbai– Actress Sonam Kapoor, who aspires to be a director, says she will direct incredible stories about strong women. “I will certainly turn director as I think there are more women required in that field. I think in the next couple of years I will direct a film that will talk about incredible stories about strong women,” Sonam told IANS.
Sonam is currently busy promoting her film “Neerja”. The Ram Madhvani directorial features the actress as Pan Am chief purser Neerja Bhanot, who was gunned down by terrorists on a hijacked flight in 1986. She saved over 300 lives on that flight but lost her own.
The film is slated for February 19 release.
Indian adaptation of ‘Homeland’ in the pipeline
Mumbai–The story of action-filled spy life woven with the thrills of political drama will soon invade the Indian small screen through a ‘desi’ version of American TV series “Homeland”. Taking note of the success of Indian adaptation of “24”, Howard Gordon, who is one of the writers of “Homeland” as well as “24”, shared his plans to make an Indian adaptation of the popular political series with an IANS correspondent during his visit here.
When asked about his plans to make an Indian adaptation of “Homeland”, Gordon told IANS: “I would love it and that would be great I think it will work here. We are looking at it and we are trying to sort it out. We have talked about it, but let’s see.” Gordon is credited with creating an edge-of-your-seat sensation with the series along with Alex Gansa. The series is based on Israeli series “Hatufim”.
The story follows the life of a CIA agent Carrie Mathison and how she starts suspecting a celebrated war hero, who was once held as a prisoner by a terrorist group, and may in fact be a terrorist sleeper agent. It narrates how the agent risks everything in her duty to safeguard her country.
‘Jai Gangaajal’ was an amazing experience: Priyanka Chopra
Mumbai-Actress Priyanka Chopra says shooting Prakash Jha’s “Jai Gangaajal” was an “amazing” experience as she got an opportunity to work with “fine actors”. The 33-year-old actress shared a video on Twitter, showcasing some clips from the film. The video also featured Jha, as well as actors Manav Kaul, Murli Sharma, Ninad Kamat and Rahul Bhat.
“‘Jai Gangaajal’ was an amazing experience especially because I had the opportunity to work with such fine actors,” Priyanka captioned the video. “Jai Gangaajal”, releasing on March 4, revisits the dusty heartland of central India and examines the society-police relationship.
Priyanka will be seen portraying the role of a police officer named Abha Mathur, while Jha will also be seen playing a police officer in the film.
