Zamindar’s Clubhouse to Open Regiment One55 Lounge, Blending British Cocktail Culture With Indian Flair
Opening October 24, the new lounge will feature heritage-inspired cocktails, inventive small plates by Chef Vamshi Adi, and an atmosphere designed for socializing, dining and music.

DATELINE: [CITY], [STATE] — Zamindar’s Clubhouse is set to open Regiment One55 Lounge on October 24 in Charlotte, North Carolina, introducing a new social destination that reimagines the sophistication of traditional British cocktail bars through an Indian lens.
Located just off the restaurant’s main dining room, Regiment One55 draws inspiration from the character of historic British officers’ clubs, combining old-world elegance with contemporary style. The lounge is designed as a gathering place where guests can enjoy cocktails, share small plates and unwind to music in a distinctive setting.
The concept brings together British culinary influences, Indian flavors and cocktail traditions inspired by history, royalty and iconic destinations. Its menu is designed to encourage communal dining, with dishes that reinterpret familiar favorites through inventive ingredients and preparations.
Chef Vamshi Adi leads the lounge’s food program, which features an assortment of shareable plates. Among the highlights is the Butter Chicken Wellington, a creative take on the classic British dish featuring chicken lollipop stuffed with mushroom and spinach, served with grilled baby carrots, masala mashed potatoes and makhani sauce.
Another featured dish, Masala Fish & Chips, pairs fresh Atlantic cod fried in British pale ale beer batter with thick-cut home fries, mushy green peas and goat cheese. The Lamb Kakori Kulcha offers another fusion of culinary traditions, featuring lamb leg pâté-stuffed bread accompanied by pickled radish, house spice dust and walnut raita.
The cocktail program follows a similar approach, drawing on historical references, British heritage and distinctive ingredients to complement the lounge’s food and atmosphere.
Among the signature drinks is the Kohinoor, named after the famed diamond associated with the British Crown Jewels. The cocktail combines Glenfiddich 26 Grande Couronne, house fig preserve and aromatic bitters, finished with edible gold tableside for a theatrical presentation.
Her Majesty takes inspiration from Britain’s royal era, blending Glenmorangie 12 with apricot eau de vie, Darjeeling tea, honey and champagne. The Savoy 1889, named after London’s celebrated Savoy hotel, combines Tanqueray No. 10, St-Germain, cucumber cordial, cardamom and lemon.
Together, the cocktails and small plates reflect Regiment One55’s central concept: bringing the traditions and atmosphere of British social clubs into a contemporary setting shaped by Indian culinary influences.
With its heritage-inspired design, inventive menu and curated drinks, the new lounge aims to offer an alternative to the conventional restaurant experience, giving guests a space to gather for an evening of food, conversation and music.
Regiment One55 Lounge is scheduled to open October 24 at Zamindar’s Clubhouse. Further details about the opening and reservations may be available through the establishment.
