Sunidhi Chauhan Calls KBC Hot Seat Appearance With Amitabh Bachchan a Dream Come True

MUMBAI — Playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has described her appearance on “Kaun Banega Crorepati” Season 18 as a dream come true, saying she felt fortunate to sit across from host Amitabh Bachchan.

Chauhan appeared on a special episode of the quiz show alongside lyricist and poet Prasoon Joshi. After filming, she spoke to photographers about the experience and said simply sharing the stage with Bachchan was a memorable moment.

“It feels amazing! I think sitting on the hot seat once is a dream for so many people, and for me… just being in front of Sir is a huge deal,” Chauhan said. “So I consider myself extremely fortunate that we got this opportunity together, and that too on KBC.”

The singer said the opportunity to take the show’s famous hot seat was especially meaningful because of Bachchan’s long association with the program.

During another segment of the show, Bachchan recalled an incident involving actor Sunny Deol on a film set.

Bachchan said he had heard that Deol once became frustrated while listening to instructions for an action sequence and gripped his jeans so tightly that the fabric tore.

“I heard one thing once. You were shooting on a set. It was an action sequence,” Bachchan told Deol. “The action director was telling that Sunny was standing and he put his hand in his pocket. And he was listening to what was happening.”

Bachchan continued that Deol apparently disagreed with what he was being asked to do and became increasingly angry.

“After a while, there was a sound of a cloth being torn. He was so angry. He pressed it so hard,” Bachchan said.
