Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone Reunite in ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ Song From Upcoming Film ‘King’

MUMBAI–Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan marked his 61st birthday Monday with the release of “Tu Mil Jaaye,” the first song from his upcoming action film “King,” featuring a romantic appearance alongside Deepika Padukone and a musical collaboration between Arijit Singh and British singer Ed Sheeran.
The song’s music video features Khan and Padukone in romantic sequences along a scenic coastline, with the actor displaying a muscular physique in several shirtless scenes.
The video opens with Khan delivering a dialogue about love and passion: “Main qaatil nahi, aashiq hoon, aur nishana meri mashooka, aur woh aashiq hi kya jo dil cheer na de”.
The romantic dance number combines Bollywood melodies with contemporary international musical influences, bringing together Arijit Singh’s vocals and an English rap performance by Sheeran.
Singer Madhubanti Bagchi also contributes vocals to the track, which was composed by the musical duo Sachin-Jigar.
The song’s Hindi lyrics were written by Kumaar, while Sheeran penned the English rap section. Choreography was handled by Piyush-Shazia.
The music video combines romantic choreography with stylized visuals, emphasizing the on-screen chemistry between Khan and Padukone.
Several coastal sequences and dance arrangements are reminiscent of “Besharam Rang,” the popular song from the 2023 film “Pathaan,” which also featured the two actors.
The release marks another collaboration between Khan and Padukone, whose previous films together have included “Pathaan.”
“King” features an ensemble cast that includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi in significant roles.
The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026, “King” marks Khan’s second collaboration with Anand following the commercial success of “Pathaan.”
The upcoming movie is being positioned as a large-scale action entertainer, combining high-intensity action sequences with the director’s signature visual style.
Anand, known for directing action-driven Bollywood films, returns to work with Khan on a project featuring an extensive cast and a combination of action and dramatic elements.
The release of “Tu Mil Jaaye” also brings together prominent musicians from the Indian and international entertainment industries, with Sheeran’s participation adding a crossover element to the soundtrack.
The song is available for streaming on the official YouTube channels of Zee Music Company and T-Series. (Source: IANS)
