Shah Rukh Khan Greets Fans from a Distance on His 61st Birthday Amid Security Concerns
MUMBAI–Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 61st birthday on Monday by greeting fans gathered outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat, while maintaining a greater distance from the crowd than in previous years.
Dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans, Khan acknowledged his supporters outside his Bandra home, continuing his annual birthday tradition. However, unlike previous years when he appeared near the property’s gates, the actor remained farther away amid growing security concerns involving Bollywood celebrities.
The heightened caution follows an October 19 shooting targeting actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu neighborhood. Three men on motorcycles reportedly opened fire, injuring Shroff’s driver. The actor was unharmed.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang subsequently claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. Mumbai police formed 15 special teams to investigate the incident.
The gang has also been linked to longstanding threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan over a blackbuck poaching case.
Preity Zinta Dresses as Belle for Family Halloween Celebration
MUMBAI–Bollywood actress Preity Zinta embraced her princess side this Halloween, dressing as Belle from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” for a family celebration with husband Gene Goodenough and their twins, Jai and Gia.
Zinta shared photos on social media showing the family’s coordinated costumes as they enjoyed trick-or-treating in their Los Angeles neighborhood.
The actress wore Belle’s signature outfit, while her daughter dressed as a miniature version of the Disney princess. Goodenough appeared as a king, and their son completed the family theme as a knight.
“Never thought I would look forward to trick or treating in the neighbourhood and love everything about Halloween & of course dressing up as Belle. It’s so special & a bit dramatic to have a little princess that loves princesses!” Zinta wrote.
Calling the celebration a “Goodenough Halloween,” she described an evening of neighborhood festivities with excited children in costumes.
Zinta, known for Bollywood films including “Dil Chahta Hai,” “Kal Ho Naa Ho,” “Veer-Zaara” and “Koi… Mil Gaya,” generally keeps her children out of the public spotlight but occasionally shares family moments online.

MUMBAI–Bollywood actress Ananya Panday marked her longtime friend Shanaya Kapoor’s birthday with a personalized T-shirt featuring a childhood photograph of Kapoor.
Panday shared a mirror selfie on social media wearing the black T-shirt, paired with beige pants and a bright pink handbag.
“Say it’s your best friends birthday without saying it’s your best friends birthday,” she captioned the photo.
The actress also posted a glimpse of Kapoor’s birthday celebration, showing her friend dressed in a black off-the-shoulder outfit and leaning toward a cake with a single candle.
Panday and Kapoor have been close friends since childhood. Their mothers, Bhavana Pandey and Maheep Kapoor, also share a longstanding friendship and have appeared together on Netflix’s “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.”
Panday made her Bollywood debut in “Student of the Year 2” in 2019 and has since appeared in films including “Gehraiyaan,” “Dream Girl 2” and “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.”

Anupam Kher Reminisces About Childhood Winters in Shimla During Sweden Visit
MUMBAI–Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher reflected on his childhood winters in Shimla while sharing photographs from a recent visit to Sweden, describing how cold weather and peaceful surroundings help him reconnect with himself.
In an Instagram post, the 71-year-old actor recalled the slower pace of life in Shimla, where he grew up, and how spending time near a lake in Sweden brought back memories of his hometown.
“I’ve discovered that cold places have a way of rejuvenating me. Add a lake, a little silence, and some solitude, and I feel closer to myself,” Kher wrote.
He added that the experience reminded him of winters in Shimla, when the town was quieter and the cold weather seemed to slow everything down.
“In summer, we feel like going out into the world; in winter, we turn inward. Perhaps that quiet inwardness is just what the mind and heart need sometimes,” he wrote.
Kher, known for films including “Special 26,” has frequently spoken about his connection to Shimla and Kashmir.

Shanaya Kapoor Celebrates Working Birthday Ahead of New Series Premiere
MUMBAI–Bollywood actress Shanaya Kapoor is spending her birthday working, balancing promotional activities for her upcoming series “Student of the Year: After Dark” with other professional commitments.
Kapoor said she welcomes the opportunity to celebrate her birthday while pursuing her acting career, even though she hopes to spend time with family and friends.
“I think there is something really special about being busy doing what you love, especially on your birthday. Of course, I would love to spend some time with my family and friends, but I am genuinely excited about everything happening professionally right now. It feels like a nice way to begin another year,” she said.

HYDERABAD–The makers of Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming action film “Mysaa” released its first song, “O Mysaa Re,” on Monday, offering audiences a glimpse of the movie’s themes of female strength and resilience.
Mandanna shared the song on social media platform X, writing, “O Mysaa Re!! A war cry! A scream of pain and rage! An awakening!! All yours now!”
Composed by Jakes Bejoy and sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan, the track features lyrics by Suddala Ashok Teja that draw on Hindu mythology to celebrate feminine power and courage.
The music video features Mandanna performing alongside a large group of dancers against a rugged forest backdrop, with choreography by Brinda Master.
Directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, “Mysaa” also stars Eshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram and Rao Ramesh.
The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Shreyaas P Krishna and international stunt choreographer Kecha, who oversees its action sequences.

Kareena Kapoor Says She’s ‘Happy and Relieved’ as ‘Koffee With Karan’ Ends
MUMBAI–Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan joked that she is happy to see “Koffee With Karan” come to an end as she prepares to appear alongside husband Saif Ali Khan in the show’s ninth and final season.
A promotional video released Monday shows host Karan Johar welcoming the couple and announcing that the long-running celebrity talk show is ending.
“Quite happy and relieved. Because now we don’t have to keep coming on Koffee With Karan,” Kareena responded, prompting a sarcastic thank-you from Johar.
Saif also joined the playful exchanges, admitting that he felt “slightly miscast” on the show.
When Johar asked Kareena to name Bollywood’s top female star, she confidently replied, “The one sitting opposite you,” referring to herself.
Saif quickly interjected, “You’re allowed to praise other people.”
The actor also teased Johar about nepotism in Bollywood. When the host began discussing celebrity children achieving international recognition, Saif interrupted with, “Because of you.”
