MUMBAI– Indian musician King has released a new EP titled Shayad Koi Na Sune, describing it as a deeply personal project meant to resonate in quiet, introspective moments—not just fill playlists or climb charts.

“With Shayad Koi Na Sune, I didn’t want to make something that just fills playlists or climbs charts—I wanted to make something that sits with you when nobody’s around,” King said, reflecting on the emotional weight behind the project.

The “Maan Meri Jaan” singer explained that the songs stem from thoughts and feelings he’s carried for a long time but never expressed aloud.

“They’re not polished confessions—they’re messy, quiet truths about feeling unseen, about growing when no one’s watching, about accepting that not everything has to be big to matter,” he said.

King added that the title itself acknowledges the vulnerability of the project: “I called it Shayad Koi Na Sune because I knew maybe no one would hear it—and that’s okay. I made this for the moments when you’re honest with yourself, even if the world isn’t listening. If even one person feels a little less alone hearing these songs, then that’s enough for me.”

The EP follows the introspective tone of his 2023 release Shayad Woh Sune. The new record opens with the title track, drawing listeners in with subtle emotion, followed by Sab Be Asar, which gives frustration a composed voice. The final track, Speak Softly, is described as King at his most vulnerable—“equal parts lullaby and confession.”

Shayad Koi Na Sune is available now on all major streaming platforms.

King, whose real name is Arpan Kumar Chandel, rose to fame as a finalist on MTV India’s reality show MTV Hustle in 2019. He is best known for hits like “Ghumshudaa” (2019), “Tu Aake Dekhle” (2020), “Oops” (2022), “Pablo” (2022), and “Maan Meri Jaan” (2022).

Born in Uttar Pradesh, King began sharing music in 2012 through his YouTube channel “King Rocco,” gaining a grassroots following as he continued posting original tracks during his school years. (Source: IANS)
