Washington– U.S. President Donald Trump has directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to significantly intensify deportation operations across major American cities, calling for what he described as the “largest mass deportation operation of illegal aliens in history.”

The directive follows a wave of protests in Los Angeles and other metropolitan areas opposing the administration’s hardline immigration policies.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump praised ICE officers for their “strength, determination, and courage” and ordered them to “do all in their power” to carry out the expanded campaign.

“ICE Officers are hereby ordered, by notice of this Truth, to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest mass deportation program in history,” Trump wrote.

He specifically named cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York as key targets for enforcement, claiming they are Democratic strongholds where, in his words, “millions” of undocumented immigrants reside. Trump alleged that Democrats use these populations to “expand their voter base, cheat in elections, and grow the welfare state,” further accusing them of harming American workers and destabilizing inner cities.

“These radical left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our country, and actually want to destroy our inner cities — and they are doing a good job of it,” he said.

In a broad critique of his political opponents, Trump accused Democrats of supporting “open borders,” “transgender for everybody,” and allowing “men playing in women’s sports.” He claimed these policies have contributed to what he called a “Third World dystopia” in formerly “idyllic towns.”

Trump’s directive tasks ICE, Border Patrol, and other federal agencies with focusing efforts on cities designated as “sanctuary cities,” which limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. He said the goal is to “remigrate” undocumented individuals to their countries of origin and to prevent new entrants from undermining public safety.

“To ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, the patriots at the Pentagon and the State Department — you have my unwavering support. Now go, get the job done,” Trump concluded.

The announcement is expected to spark renewed political and legal debate over federal immigration enforcement and civil liberties, particularly in cities that have declared themselves sanctuaries for undocumented residents. (Source: IANS)
