If you want to make sure your representatives, DA or police department are aware of this ongoing crime wave, you can use the following suggested text for emails.

District Attorney’s Office

  • Subject: Request for strengthening community security measures and Investigating of Recent Burglaries
  • Text Body:

Dear District Attorney [*Your DA’s Last Name Here*],

I am writing to bring to your attention a series of burglaries that is causing havoc within the South Asian community, particularly Indian Families residing in the [*Your State Here*]. We strongly believe that your office can play a pivotal role in addressing this matter immediately and effectively.

Recently, a serious burglary occurred at the residence of [*If there was a burglary that is in your area, mention it here*] The burglary has caused substantial property damage and loss of valuables. More importantly, it has left the family and other residents in our community feeling unsafe and vulnerable in our own homes.

The burglars are highly organized, know what they want, seem to know when you are not home, and know how to bypass security systems.

We have utmost faith in our local police department; however, we believe that guidance from your office can greatly enhance the effectiveness of their investigations.

Additionally, we request your assistance in implementing community programs to strengthen security within our neighborhood. We believe that your office can provide valuable insight on the establishment of a ‘Neighborhood Watch Program’ or similar initiatives that have shown success previously. On a secondary note, organizing workshops that educate residents on enhancing home security measures would be beneficial as well.

We look forward to your office’s support in enhancing the safety of our community and ensuring that such incidents are thoroughly investigated and prevented in the future.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.

We look forward for your prompt response and action.

Yours Sincerely,

[*Your Name Here*]

Police Department

  • Subject: Regarding the Recent Targeted Burglary in [*Your Town Here*]
  • Text Body:

Dear [*Insert Addressee’s Name Here*],

I would like to bring to your attention a recent unfortunate incident that has left our community shaken.

On or around [*Date of Burglary*], a burglary took place at the residence of [*Resident Name*], a resident of [*Resident’s Address*].

The invasion resulted in significant property damage and loss of valuable items. We thankfully were not at home during the time of the burglary, averting a potentially tragic incident. However, the psychological and emotional impact of this violation is considerable, to say the least.

After discussions with several members of the South Indian Community, it appears that the homes of Indian families in our neighborhood as well as in the state of Massachusetts are being targeted. We want to bring this to your attention, considering the gravity of the matter.

The thieves are highly organized, know what they want, seem to know when you are not home, and knows how to bypass security systems.

These events have left our community on edge, feeling unsafe in our own homes. We request immediate action to help alleviate these fears and to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. We believe that enhanced police patrols, especially during hours of low occupancy, might serve as a deterrent for potential criminals. Additionally, we request a community meeting to discuss the best practices for home security and potential strategies to safeguard our homes better.

As a community, we are more than willing to do our part and we request law enforcement to do theirs.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We look forward to your prompt response and action.

Yours Sincerely,

[*Your Name Here*]
