RALEIGH, N.C. — CloudFactory has appointed Ajai Sharma as its new Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), tasking him with shaping the company’s product vision and technical roadmap as it seeks to deepen its role in the enterprise AI ecosystem.

Sharma, who officially joined the company in July 2025, brings extensive experience in machine learning infrastructure and AI system design. He previously held leadership roles at AWS AI, where he helped build foundational machine learning services for global enterprise customers. More recently, he led product and platform strategy at Holomorphic AI, where he developed a pioneering agentic AI system combining generative capabilities with advanced reasoning.

As CPTO, Sharma will oversee CloudFactory’s product, engineering, and ML teams. His mandate includes scaling the company’s platform and integrating its Human-in-the-Loop services with next-generation AI tools aimed at Fortune 500 clients and other large enterprises.

Sharma described the current moment in AI as a “once-in-a-generation inflection point,” adding that CloudFactory’s hybrid approach—melding human expertise with machine intelligence—positions it to lead, not follow. “My focus will be on architecting the future of enterprise AI platforms—ones that are reliable, adaptive, and deeply transformative,” he said.

CEO Kevin Johnston cited Sharma’s track record of launching cutting-edge products as central to his appointment. “He has delivered breakthrough innovations at the heart of the AI ecosystem,” Johnston said. “His leadership will be critical as we expand CloudFactory’s capabilities to help businesses realize the full promise of AI.”

The hire signals CloudFactory’s intent to play a more prominent role in defining the infrastructure behind scalable, enterprise-ready AI applications.
