Rakul Preet shares her look in one-piece dress with intricate patterns

Mumbai– Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who recently tied the knot with producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani, is amping up the glam quotient albeit with a bit of drama.

On Wednesday, the actress took to her Instagram and shared a string of pictures of her latest look in her cream-coloured outfit.

In the picture, she can be seen donning a one-piece dress with intricate patterns. She tied her hair neatly in a bun, wore shimmery stilettos.

She wrote in the caption, “Drama only when we shoot”.

The actress tied the knot with Jackky Bhagnani on February 21 in Goa. It was a two-in-one wedding with two ceremonies — first, the ‘Anand Karaj’ in the Sikh tradition, and the second, a Sindhi-style ceremony — reflecting both Rakul and Jackky’s cultural backgrounds.

The intimate wedding was attended, among others, by her family and close friends, including Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will soon be seen in S. Shankar’s much-anticipated ‘Indian 2’ with Kamal Haasan.

Russophile: Sara Ali Khan declares she loves 20th-century Russian history

Mumbai–  Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming streaming movie ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, has shared that she loves Russian history of the 20th century and Russian literature.

The actress, who has been a student of history, recently spoke with IANS ahead of the release of her period film and shared that she finds it very interesting how landmark moments in Russia from the rise of Vladimir Lenin to the fall of the Soviet Union happened within a span of 100 years.

She told IANS: “I like 20th-century Russian history a lot. I think it’s very interesting how they went from Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, and Mikhail Gorbachev to the fall of the Soviet Union, ye sab 100 salon mein hua hai. It’s very interesting to observe it that way.”

In fact, Nikita Khrushchev was the one who denounced his predecessor Joseph Stalin’s crimes and brought in the policy of de-Stalinisation.

She also spoke about her love for Russian literature and mentioned her favourite authors with Fyodor Dostoevsky topping the list.

She said: “I also like Russian literature a lot. Fyodor Dostoevsky, his ‘Crime and Punishment’ is my favourite, the novel ‘Anna Karenina’. Alexander Pushkin is one of my favourites as well. So, Russia I have a special spot for as a student of history.”

‘Ruslaan’ lead star Aayush Sharma thanks fans for ‘Taade’ flash mob

Mumbai– ‘Ruslaan’ lead star Aayush Sharma extended his heartfelt gratitude to his fans who spontaneously formed a flash mob and performed on the film’s first track ‘Taade’ from Bandra to Khar, Mumbai, on Tuesday.

Sharma said, “The love and support from my fans have been overwhelming. Today’s flash mob on ‘Taade’ is a moment I’ll cherish forever. Thank you so much for making the day so special and for embracing ‘Ruslaan’ with such enthusiasm.”

Bandra witnessed a surge of excitement on Tuesday when fans surprised Aayush and broke into an electrifying dance on the upbeat track.

With a ‘Taade’-branded car and speakers leading the way, the enthusiastic dancers took to the iconic Bandstand to deliver a spellbinding performance. The infectious rhythm of ‘Taade’ echoed through the air as fans and onlookers were treated to a mesmerising display of talent and passion.

The celebration continued as the ‘Taade’-branded car headed towards the next destination. And the anticipation mounted as the flashmob caravan made its way to Satguru in Khar, near Aayush Sharma’s residence, for the grand finale.

Gathering near Sharma’s residence, fans eagerly awaited his arrival, ready to call out to their favorite star and invite him to join the dance. Living up to their hopes, Aayush and his co-star Sushrii Mishraa emerged, greeted by cheers and applause from the crowd.

Without hesitation, they embraced the moment, joining the flash mob and thrilling fans by performing the hookstep of ‘Taade’.

There is something about Bollywood fandom and its frenzy. This time, the immense excitement surrounding ‘Ruslaan’ and the infectious charm of its first track was palpable.

Bhumi says it is ‘amazing’ to be working at a time when a woman can headline a series

Mumbai– Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who is stepping into the world of series with ‘Daldal’, is happy that women actors are being empowered to headline projects on top global streaming platforms.

Bhumi said: “It feels amazing that I work at a time when a woman can headline a series on a global streaming platform, and feel supremely empowered that she can command such a massive mounting.”

She added: “I’m honestly humbled by this realisation and it motivates me to work so hard that I deliver powerful performances that are remembered by people.”

About her next big challenge to play a cop in ‘Daldal’, Bhumi said that she is naturally drawn to challenges.

“That’s my core. Have always done this right since my debut.. I believe that we are in the age of content and actors can really shine bright with these opportunities.”

She said that Daldal is that perfect project for her to show a completely new side to her performance.

“It presents me in a whole new way and I love pushing my boundaries.”

Talking about her character in the series, Bhumi said: “I love that in Daldal, I play a woman who has shattered the glass ceiling by being appointed as the DCP of Mumbai. She is a super achiever in a man’s world and I loved that layer of the show along with all the beautiful complexities that the role and the script has to offer.

“I think a character like this will resonate with the times that we live in because a woman is no longer shackled down and is ambitious and independent.”

‘Daldal’, a thriller, revolves around DCP Rita Ferreira, who is haunted by the guilt of her past and dealing with the demons of her present. She embarks on an investigation of a series of murders that puts her on a collision course with a cold-blooded serial killer. (IANS)
