Akshay Kumar shares first look of video with Kriti Sanon’s sister Nupur
Mumbai– Akshay Kumar has shared the first look of his music video where he features alongside Kriti Sanons sister Nupur Sanon.
Akki took to Instagram and shared a poster of the single “Filhall”, which has been sung by B Praak.
The superstar captioned the picture: “Witness a tale of heart-wrenching love. Here’s the poster of my first ever music video, #Filhall with @nupursanon. Sung by @bpraak. @jaani777 @arvindrkhaira @desimelodies #CapeOfGoodFilms.”
Expressing her excitement at working with Akshay Kumar on her debut acting assignment, Nupur shared, “It was my first acting assignment, and that too with such a big star, so I had butterflies in my stomach. I was nervous on the first day of the shoot as I had not met Akshay even socially before. But he was warm, and we bonded over our Punjabi connect. I kept on asking him questions on how to go about it. He calmly told me, you are doing good. If I think I need to guide you, I will.”

Yami Gautam: Leading ladies of ’90s mastered comedy
Mumbai– Actress Yami Gautam says Bollywood’s leading ladies of the nineties were great at comedy.
In “Bala”, the actress plays a TikTok star named Pari who loves to perform to nineties songs. She enjoyed recreating some of the iconic moments from the songs of that era.
“The leading ladies of the nineties mastered comedy and for a long time, no one attempted the genre because it was tough to topple the levels they reached. But now in the last two years, comedies are making a comeback,” said Yami.
“Amar’s (Kaushik) last film ‘Stree’ is a testament that the writing of comedy is no longer just quick jokes. This is my tribute to the ladies we all learnt it from from the ’90s,” she added.
Her “comedic muses” for this role were actresses like Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla whose films “Chaalbaaz”, “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!” and “Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke” respectively, are amongst her all-time favourite go-to films for laughs.
“Their prowess wasn’t restricted to dialogue play. They were equally effortless in the comic scenes too,” she said.
Ranveer Singh calls make-up artist ‘bhabhi’
New Delhi– Few stars can entertain people as Ranveer Singh does, even off the screen. The actor proved the fact once again when he was in the Capital recently, to dance at a high-profile wedding.
A lot of pictures and videos are doing the rounds on Internet where Ranveer is seen flaunting his moves to the beats of his hit songs “Tattad tattad” from “Ram-Leela” and “Aankh marey” from “Simmba”.
However, the video that seems to be regaling fans the most is actually not a performance — it is a random clip where Ranveer is seen calling popular make-up artist Guneet Virdi his “bhabhi”.
The video has gone viral on social media, partly for Ranveer’s swag, but also for Guneet’s witty rejoinder.
“When Ranveer Singh calls you bhabhi. Dil ke armaaan ansuon me beh gaye,” Guneet wrote on Instagram along with the video.
Before attending the Delhi wedding, Ranveer had taken to Instagram to post a funny line announcing that he was available as “Entertainer for Hire”.
The post garnered a lot of funny responses from social media users, including his wife Deepika Padukone.
“Contact @deepikapadukone for bookings! @ranveersingh,” she wrote.
On the film front, Ranveer will be next seen in “’83′”.
Ayushmann Khurrana: I call myself deeply spiritual
Varanasi– Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is happy about ticking off one of his long-time wishes of performing Ganga Aarti at Varanasi. He calls himself “deeply spiritual”.
“It was a surreal moment for me to do my first Ganga Aarti at Varanasi. I had always wanted to experience this moment and had thought about it since my college. I’m delighted that every single thing worked out for me to perform the Ganga Aarti. I won’t ever forget this. It was an extremely peaceful, magical and soulful feeling for me,” said Ayushmann.
“I call myself deeply spiritual and it is a strange and lovely coincidence that before the release of my last few films, I ended up being at a place known for its spirituality. Before the release of ‘Dream Girl’, I was at Lalbaug, before release of ‘Badhaai Ho’, I was at Vaishno Devi. It’s a lovely coincidence and I hope I get to experience such places even more,” he added.
He is now looking forward to the release of his film “Bala”.
Shweta Tripathi always up for a challenge
New Delhi– Actress Shweta Tripathi says she is always on a lookout for projects and stories that push boundaries and challenge her as an artiste.
“As an actor, I am always looking for projects and stories which push boundaries…That not only challenges my compatibilities and talent, but pushes button of the audience watching it, be it on web or features,” Shweta told IANS.
“The platform doesn’t matter. As an artist you are responsible for the kind of content you are associating with. The most important thing is to experiment,” she added.
From “Masaan”, “Haraamkhor”, “Zoo”, “Mirzapur” to “Gone Kesh” (that dealt with alopecia), Shweta has stepped into a different zone with each project. Now, her project “Gone Kesh” has premiered on ShemarooMe under property titled “Bollywood Premiere”.
“I am very choose about the projects. While working on ‘Haraamkhor’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui had told me that ‘some actors should be choosy’, and that has stuck with me which is why all projects, whether it is feature film or for OTT, are super special,” the actress said.
Talking about the box office pressures, Shweta said: “Box office is not in actor’s hand, performances are. I give my best to all the projects. The pressure is always there and the pressure is to do justice to what the writer and director has imagined and what the audience will be giving the time and money — for subscription or ticket. The pressure is always there and I would want the pressure to be always there.”
Kubbra Sait makes debut as voice artiste
New Delhi– Actress Kubbra Sait has narrated an audio story called “Until Again”.
“Acting and anchoring have been interesting experiences but this is the first time I have worked as a voice artiste,” said Kubbra.
“Until Again” has been written by Rukun Kaul. This is available on Storytel, which is an audiobook and e-book streaming service.
“With Storytel, it has been an amazing experience because unlike acting, while recording for an audiobook your audience does not see you, but you have to bring alive a character and the emotions of a story through your voice,” said the “Sacred Games” actress.
The book focuses on Saher, who finally has a boyfriend and craves to have some intimate moments with him as does Samreen with her new boyfriend. The two couples book a hotel room and it seems like Saher’s dry streak will finally be broken. Things however don’t go as planned and Saher is faced with a dilemma that she definitely did not expect.
Swara abuses 4-yr-old for calling her ‘aunty’, gets trolled
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker is facing severe backlash on social media for referring to a four-year-old child actor as “chu**ya” and “Kameena” on the chat show “Son Of Abish”.
A video spreading like wildfire on social media shows Swara using the swear words for a child actor with whom she worked with in an advertisement shoot during her early days in the film industry.
Apparently, Swara got angery because the child had addressed her as aunty.
In the video clip, the actress is seen speaking about disappointed she was with the shoot, adding that the kid calling her “aunty” only made her angrier.
According to Swara, she did not say the word “chu**ya” on the child actor’s face, but uttered it in her thoughts. She added that children were basically “evil”.
Twitterati started slamming the actress no sooner that the video went viral, and the hashtag #Swara_aunty has been trending on the micro-blogging website since Tuesday morning.
According to ibtimes, an NGO — Legal Rights Protection Forum — has reportedly filed a complaint to National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, and demanded action against Swara. (IANS)
