AIM for Seva Hosts Meera: the Soul Divine Dance Show on Sunday, Has Already Raised $70,000

WESTON, MA–AIM for Seva, an US tax-exempt charity that provides free student homes to enable children in rural and tribal regions of India, is hosting Meera: the Soul Divine dance show on Sunday in Weston, MA.

In Meera: the Soul Divine, renowned Bharatanatyam dancer Chitra Visweswaran brings to life the spiritual journey of the great saint-poetess whose life was marked by intense devotional love for Sri Krishna. With music composed by Oscar nominee Bombay Jayashri,  this production has won rave reviews and standing ovations in Chennai and many US cities where it has been presented by AIM for Seva.

AIM for Seva is a an US tax-exempt charity that provides free student homes to enable children in rural and tribal regions of India complete high school education.  This is the fourth year that the local chapter of AIM Seva is presenting a cultural program in Boston to support this worthy cause of educating underprivileged children.

The Boston fund-raising program is on Sunday, September 18 at the Regis College auditorium in Weston, with seating at 4:15 PM.

Meera promises to be a memorable show, and will be followed by a free vegetarian dinner.  A child sponsorship for one year is $450, which meets the costs of one student for food, education, sports, values and culture in a safe and supportive home-away-from-home environment.   For each child sponsorship at this or a higher level, AIM Seva will issue a family pass and assigned seating.  If you are not sponsoring a child, AIM Seva is requesting a $40 minimum donation per person.

“Our goal this year is to raise money to support 300 children in the AIM for Seva student homes,” organizers said in a statement. “Thanks to early donors and patrons, we have so far raised $ 70,000 and have another $65,000 to go.”
