BOSTON–Mouli Pal is an accomplished Odissi dance artist, teacher, choreographer, and cultural ambassador. She is also the founder of Massachusetts-based Upasana Odissi Dance School and has dedicated 25 years of her life to this dance form that originated in the easter state of Orissa in Inda.

Ms. Pal’s dance has been presented by museums, universities, libraries, schools and cultural institutions across United States, India, and Austria.

Odissi is a graceful dance that creates rhythmic patterns, melodic emotions and tells stories of love and devotion.

Ms. Pal has been has been trained under the personal tutelage of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She continues to train under the guidance of eminent dancer Nandini Ghoshal in India and regularly attends workshops by Master teachers.

Ms. Pal is the founder and director of Upasana Odissi Inc. a Non-Profit Organization for the promotion and preservation of Odissi.  The organization offers instructions for an affordable fee, organizes free concerts open to the public and performs at fundraising concerts.
