African American Youth Harvest Foundation Recognizes Harish Kotecha, Founder of Hindu Charities for America

AUSTIN, TX–The African American Youth Harvest Foundation (AAYHF) recently hosted its annual Gala featuring Martin Luther King III.

Harish Kotecha, Founder of Hindu Charities for America (HC4A), was honored with AAYHF’s Humanitarian Award. This is one of many awards that has been bestowed upon HC4A to recognize its work in the community.

Michael Lofton, Executive Director of AAYHF, said, “Please know that it is a true blessing to have you and HC4A as one of our strategic partners. You and your organization have volunteered numerous hours in supporting The African American Youth Harvest Foundation in the areas of Technology Support and Cyber-Security Certifications for our youth. HC4A has provided more than 14,000 backpacks, filled with school supplies, for children and youth in homeless and high-poverty situations.”

Martin Luther King III also shared his appreciation for Kotecha’s and HC4A’s work, saying, “It is individuals like you that foster positive revolutionary growth in the many struggling kids and families we have supported.”

Kotecha’s work through HC4A has made a significant impact on the lives of African American youth and families in the Austin area. HC4A has provided thousands of backpacks and school supplies to children in need, and has also offered technology support and cybersecurity certifications to youth. Over 800 students have received scholarships that aid they need to escape poverty. HC4A’s work has helped prepare young and heads of households for success in school and in the workforce.

Kotecha’s recognition at the AAYHF Gala is a testament to his dedication to serving the community. He is an inspiration to us all, and his work is making a real difference in the lives of others.
