CAMBRIDGE, MA— Did you know that cameras that capture images so fast, they can see around corners and computers that read books without ever opening their covers? Well, if you want to learn that, Massachusetts Institute of Technology this summer is offering a four-day intensive course on this subject.
Ramesh Raskar, Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences and Head of the MIT Media Lab’s innovative Camera Culture research group, will help you to imagine the possibilities in Advances in Imaging, an intensive four-day course running July 17-20, 2017 on the MIT campus, according to the MIT Professional Education.
This course will introduce you to a broad landscape of cutting-edge techniques, hardware, and software for computational imaging and visual mining, exploring the latest emerging solutions in optics, sensors, and computer vision.
“Literally seeing through human skin to capture someone’s vein structure and how fast their blood flows,” says the MIT Professional Education. “At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, we’re known for turning visions into reality, but first it requires the ability to see beyond the boundaries.”
