Soha Ali Khan Highlights Mumbai Sidewalk Hazards After Falling Short of 10K Steps

Mumbai — Actress Soha Ali Khan turned her daily fitness goal into a commentary on Mumbai’s pedestrian infrastructure after encountering a series of obstacles while trying to complete 10,000 steps.

In a social media video posted Thursday, Khan was seen setting out enthusiastically for a walk before coming across animal waste, a broken manhole cover, a man sleeping on the sidewalk, construction equipment and roadside work.

She eventually abandoned the walk and decided to try again another day.

“I really try to get in my 10k steps every day but after 2,467 obstacles, I give up,” she wrote.

Khan has previously used social media to highlight unsafe walking conditions in Mumbai. In February, she shared footage of a damaged sidewalk during an evening walk, writing, “Just a relaxing evening stroll navigating sidewalks that collapse into death traps.”

She has also raised concerns about ongoing road construction in Mumbai’s Bandra area, sharing an image of her daughter, Inaaya, navigating a muddy and damaged road surrounded by barricades, debris and construction materials.

Karisma Kapoor Says She Learned Bhangra by Watching Neetu Kapoor

Mumbai — Actress Karisma Kapoor revealed that she learned Bhangra by watching her aunt, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, perform the energetic Punjabi dance form.

Karisma shared the memory during an episode of “India’s Best Dancer Season 5” after contestants Deepali and Ritesh performed to the song “Rang De Basanti” in a Baisakhi-themed routine.

Praising Neetu’s dancing skills, Karisma said Bhangra requires a particular attitude and energy.

“Bhangda karne ke liye you need that attitude, and Neetu aunty does it amazingly. Maine unse sikha. Woh hamare family mein shaadi hui abhi recently do din, toh unhone kiya, toh I was just admiring her and watching her. Maine unse actually sikha, apne Nitu aunty ko match kiya,” she said.

Karisma said she recently watched Neetu perform at a family wedding and tried to match her moves.

Neetu Kapoor, the wife of the late actor Rishi Kapoor, stepped away from films at the height of her career after their marriage. She is the mother of actor Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Sharvari Calls Working With Imtiaz Ali on ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’ a ‘Huge Opportunity’

Mumbai — Actress Sharvari described working with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali on “Main Wapas Aaunga” as a “huge opportunity,” saying the period drama allowed her to explore a different era and character.

“This was my first collaboration with Imtiaz sir and with Neelam and Sanjay sir and with everyone actually. I had a lot of fun because this is such a beautiful story,” Sharvari said.

She said the film’s period setting gave her a chance to immerse herself in a different world, from the costumes to the atmosphere.

“I think especially because as an actor, I got a chance to go into a different era. I got a chance to play a different character. I got a chance to play a character where the way people used to dress was different, and I had a lot of fun getting lost in that world.”

Sharvari added, “And of course, I have always been a fan of Imtiaz sir’s work, so this was a huge opportunity for me, and I am very grateful for it.”

Sharvari plays Jiya opposite Vedang Raina in the period romantic drama, set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition. The film was released theatrically on June 12, 2026.

Genelia shared a photo from the ride on her Instagram Stories, smiling as she took in the sea breeze and familiar city skyline.

“The jetty rides, the sea breeze, the familiar Mumbai skyline…little things bring back memories,” she wrote.

Anupam Kher Reflects on Journey as Las Vegas Marks ‘Anupam Kher Day’

Mumbai — Veteran actor Anupam Kher reflected on his journey from Shimla to international recognition as he marked September 10, which was declared “Anupam Kher Day” in Las Vegas 11 years ago.

Kher said the honor remains especially meaningful despite the many awards and recognitions he has received throughout his career.

“For a small-town boy from Shimla to have September 10 declared as ‘Anupam Kher Day’ in Las Vegas — the city of entertainment — feels almost unbelievable!” he wrote on Instagram.

He credited the Indian film industry for giving him the platform and opportunities that led to the recognition.

“The full credit for this honour belongs to the Indian film industry, which gave me an identity, a platform and the opportunity to reach this level. I remain deeply grateful to Indian cinema and to everyone who has been part of my journey,” Kher said.

He added, “Some honours don’t merely decorate your shelf — they find a permanent place in your heart. Jai Ho”

Kher is currently taking his play “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane” across the United States and Canada. He has also announced that his next project will mark his 555th film, though details have not yet been revealed.

Parineeti Chopra Says ‘Shaque’ Team Supported Her Through Pregnancy

Mumbai — Actress Parineeti Chopra has revealed that she discovered she was pregnant after filming had already begun on her OTT debut, “Shaque: Trust No One,” and praised the production team for supporting her throughout the shoot.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Parineeti said she and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, often joke that they were fortunate she was pregnant while working with this particular team.

“Raghav and I always joke about this, that thank God I was pregnant on this project with these makers and not on any other film with any other makers,” she said. “We found out once the shoot had already begun.”

Parineeti said the filmmakers adjusted action sequences and made arrangements to reduce the amount of travel required while filming in Shimla and Chail.

“They really treated me like a baby, pun intended. They really treated me with such gentle hands,” she said. “They made changes to the action sequences for me to be more comfortable without destroying anything creatively.”

She added that the team arranged for her to stay on set so she would not have to make lengthy daily trips on winding mountain roads.

Parineeti also said Raghav, her mother, mother-in-law and brothers visited her during the shoot, making the experience especially memorable.
