Neeti Mohan Says ‘Maahiya’ From ‘The Revolutionaries’ Celebrates Blossoming Love
Mumbai — Playback singer Neeti Mohan says “Maahiya,” a new song from the upcoming streaming series “The Revolutionaries,” captures the warmth and tenderness of a budding romance.
The song centers on the relationship between Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, and Pratibha Lahiri, played by Pratibha Ranta.
“‘Maahiya’ is such a beautiful and soothing song, and I really loved the warmth that comes through in its melody and lyrics,” Mohan said.
She said the song places the woman at the center of the romance and expresses the feeling of seeing someone as the most important person in one’s life.
“What I particularly love is the way the song celebrates the woman he loves, making her the centre of every emotion and finding a beautiful way to tell her that she means everything to him,” Mohan said.
She added that the track has a “pure and effortless” quality and said she enjoyed recording it with fellow singer Tushar Joshi.
“I hope listeners enjoy its soft, romantic energy and find their own beautiful moments of love in it,” she said.
“Maahiya” was composed by Akashdeep Sengupta and performed by Mohan and Joshi, with lyrics by Tolia Lavraj Singh and Gaurab Chakraborty.
“The Revolutionaries” is inspired by historical events and is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book “Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom.”
The series also stars Bhuvan Bam and Gurfateh Pirzada, along with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
Created and directed by Nikkhil Advani, the series was written by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang and Rutvi Mehta. It is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment.
