Thaman to Compose Music for Chiranjeevi’s #Mega158
HYDERABAD, India — Music director Thaman will compose the score for director Bobby Kolli’s upcoming action entertainer starring Chiranjeevi, the makers announced.
The film, tentatively titled #Mega158, is being produced by KVN Productions and marks another collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli after “Waltair Veerayya.”
Announcing Thaman’s involvement, KVN Productions wrote on X, “Welcoming the sensational musician @MusicThaman to the explosive world of #MEGA158. His MUSICAL FURY for MEGASTAR’s MASS ENERGY will create absolute carnage on the big screens. #ChiruBobby2 Pooja Ceremony Tomorrow, MAY 21st.”
Thaman also responded on X, writing, “B-O-S-S!! @KChiruTweets. An OST TO REMEMBER FOR THIS LIFE. MEGA – 158.”
The production house had earlier announced cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan as the film’s director of photography. Kannan is known for his work on “Jailer,” “Daaku Maharaj” and the upcoming “Jailer 2.”
The project has drawn attention since it was first announced on Chiranjeevi’s birthday last year. Earlier this week, the actor shared a workout video showing him training intensely for the role.
“Every day is another opportunity to push beyond limits… Charged up and excited for another memorable journey with my dear @dirbobby for #Mega158. Opening Ceremony on May 21st,” Chiranjeevi wrote on X.
The video showed the actor going through a structured training routine focused on strength, power and stamina, suggesting the film will feature high-energy action sequences.
The makers previously released a poster showing an axe splitting a wall, with traces of blood visible in the cracks. The poster carried the tagline, “The blade that set the bloody benchmark.”
The film is backed by KVN Productions and produced by Venkat K. Narayana. It is scheduled to be formally launched on May 21. (Source: IANS)
