Indian Brothers Win Three Gold Medals at U.S. Open Pickleball Championship

MUMBAI — Indian players Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh captured three gold medals at the U.S. Open Pickleball Championship in Naples, Florida, marking a major breakthrough for the sport in India.

Supported by the Maharashtra Pickleball Association and the Indian Pickleball Association, the brothers emerged as standout performers on the international stage and are now considered among India’s leading pickleball talents.

Aditya Singh won gold in the Under-18 boys’ doubles event, while the pair teamed up to claim the men’s doubles 5.0 title, defeating top-seeded opponents in both categories. Arjun Singh added a third gold with a victory in the men’s singles 5.0 event.

“Arjun and I have been training extremely hard and the results have been very satisfying. The belief that Rahool Kanal Sir and the Maharashtra Pickleball Association have shown in us cannot be mentioned enough and this would not have been possible without their backing. We are looking forward to continuing the work and to get the results for India,” Aditya said.

Arjun echoed the sentiment, crediting the associations for their support.

“Winning three gold medals for India at the U.S. Open Pickleball Championship would not be possible without the support of the Maharashtra Pickleball Association and the Indian Pickleball Association. A special mention to Rahool Kanal Sir who did not hesitate to make sure we had everything an athlete needs to succeed at the highest level. We are hoping to continue this momentum all the way to the Maharashtra Open as well,” he said.

The brothers are set to compete next at the Maharashtra Open 2026.

India finished the tournament with a total of eight medals, including four gold, two silver and two bronze, across multiple categories. (Source: IANS)
