Singer Sudha Subbaraman to Perform at 23rd Annual Women of the Year Awards Gala
Boston-based vocalist will present a special musical tribute honoring the achievements of this year’s outstanding women.
BURLINGTON, MA — Boston-area singer, composer, and music producer Sudha Subbaraman will be a featured performer at the 23rd Annual Women of the Year Awards Gala on March 14, 2024, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Organized by INDIA New England News, the annual event celebrates accomplished women from diverse fields including business, healthcare, entrepreneurship, arts, and community service. The gala traditionally brings together hundreds of community leaders, professionals, and supporters to recognize women who have made significant contributions to society.
Subbaraman will present a special musical medley dedicated to the honorees during the evening’s program.
“Congratulations to each of you incredible women being honored today,” Subbaraman said. “Your achievements, leadership, and your tireless efforts in making a difference are so inspiring. It’s truly a pleasure celebrating you today. I am excited to be singing just the perfect medley of songs in your honor.”
Based in the Boston area, Subbaraman is a versatile singer-songwriter whose musical journey began with training in Carnatic music and later evolved toward Hindustani classical traditions. She currently continues her musical training under renowned vocalist Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar.
Her repertoire spans classical, semi-classical, Bollywood, and contemporary music, and she has performed in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, and English. As an alumna of IndianRaga, Subbaraman has collaborated with artists worldwide, presenting innovative interpretations of classical ragas.
Beyond performance, Subbaraman is also known for using music as a vehicle for community engagement and social impact. She has participated in fundraising concerts supporting organizations such as Ekal Vidyalaya, CRY, and AFEC, and has led community-driven musical productions that bring artists together for meaningful causes.
In addition to performing, she is a certified vocal and music coach and the founder of SwaraYogaShala, where she teaches voice training, breathwork, and vocal wellness to both children and adults.
At the upcoming gala, her performance is expected to add a memorable artistic tribute to an evening dedicated to celebrating leadership, resilience, and impact.
