Newton Bal Vihar to Celebrate 25 Years With Garba, Bhangra and Bollywood Night
NEWTON, Mass.— Newton Bal Vihar will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an evening of Indian music, dance and community festivities on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Newton South High School.
The anniversary celebration will take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in Gym B and will feature DJ music, Garba, Bhangra and Bollywood songs. Food will also be available for purchase, with organizers encouraging attendees to enjoy the festivities while supporting a charitable cause.
The event is being supported by the AHED Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
Organizers say the celebration will offer an opportunity for families and members of the broader community to come together and mark 25 years of Newton Bal Vihar while enjoying traditional and contemporary Indian entertainment.
Advance tickets are $10 per person, while tickets purchased at the door will cost $15. Children under age 5 can attend for free. Because space is limited, attendees are encouraged to reserve their spots by Sept. 19.
The event will feature a mix of colorful Indian cultural traditions, including Garba and Bhangra dancing, along with Bollywood music and DJ beats, creating a family-friendly evening centered on community and celebration.
