Sunny Leone on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai

Mumbai–Actress Sunny Leone, who is doing well for herself in Bollywood and has featured in reality TV shows like “Bigg Boss” and “Splitsvilla”, will soon make her debut on the small screen with the popular show “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai”.

Sunny, who started shooting for the show on Monday, will be seen playing herself on the &TV entertainer.

According to the sequence, Sunny will be entering the street where Vibhuti (Aashif Sheikh), Anita (Saumya Tandon), Angoori (Shubhangi Atre) and Manmohan (Rohitash Gaud) live. She will appear along with the director of her film to scout for her film’s hero.

Talking about shooting with Sunny, Shubhangi said in a statement: “It is a pleasure to shoot with Sunny. She has no qualms about anything and is very easy to work with.”

“She is an extremely cooperative co-actor. Hope the audiences will be surprised with this new entry. It was fun teaching her Angoori’s iconic line ‘Sahi pakde hain’.”

Small screen reaches out to more people: John Abraham

New Delhi–Actor John Abraham considers the small screen a platform which gives wider reach to films than the big screen itself.

“I think the small screen reaches out to far more people than the big screen does. I have noticed there are certain films, like ‘Force’ … It became a far bigger film when it released on television than it was on screen,” John told IANS over E-mail.

John’s “Rocky Handsome” premiered on Sony Max on Sunday, and he feels it must have got a wider reach.

The actor-producer says while TV multiplies the reach of content by several times, the medium can’t be compared to cinema.

“You can’t compare the two, very honestly. The two are totally different vehicles and they serve their purposes mutually, exclusively and in correlation with each other. So I can’t really compare,” he said.

John is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Force 2”, which also features Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film is the sequel to the 2011 action thriller “Force” directed by Nishikant Kamat.

Mayur Verma to be part of ‘Bigg Boss’

Mumbai– TV actor Mayur Verma, known for his role in “Swaragini”, says he will be seen in the upcoming tenth season of the controversial reality show “Bigg Boss”.

“I have been selected as a contestant for upcoming season of ‘Bigg Boss’. Last year, I had been nominated as a wild card contestant, however as it was right after my break-up with Marina (Marina Kuwar), I thought to refrain from sharing same screen space. But this time, I am very much looking forward to being on the show,” Mayur said in a statement.

“Bigg Boss” will soon be back on the small screen with its tenth season, and this time the spotlight is on the common man. For the first time, the controversial reality show will open its doors to the common people to appear as contestants along with the stars. The show will air on Colors channel.

While Mayur has confirmed his participation in the show, there has been no formal announcement from the channel’s side.

‘The Stage 2’ contestants pick their favourite artists

International names like Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and pop band Maroon 5 are some of the names that inspire the contestants of English singing talent hunt show “The Stage 2”.

According to a source, the majority of the singers that got through the auditions and the first round, sang Bruno Mars’ “When I was your man” and Maroon 5‘s “Sunday morning”.

“Among other international musicians, Bieber and George Ezra also seemed to be the young singers’ preferred artists. The contestants shared that these songs are fresh and they resonate with each and every lyric of the song,” said the source.

The source added: “They also shared that like how every generation has a few artists that define the collective movement, emotion and struggle of that generation, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Adele and Bruno Mars are those artists for the millennials.”

“The Stage 2”, which is aired on Colors Infinity channel, is judged by Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani and Devraj Sanyal.
