The Champions Series-3: Indian Badminton Player Anoushka Parikh on Lessons from Sports and Her Journey

BOSTON– Anoushka Parikh has been an international Badminton player, representing India from 2011-2021 with a career best world rank #44 in mixed doubles.

Ms. Parikh was in Boston recently as part of the visiting OGQ delegation to US and spoke with INDIA New England News about her sports journey and life lessons from sports.

With her experience as a professional athlete, Ms. Parikh has a deep understanding of an athlete’s requirements and the phases they go through in their sporting career. She has previously worked in educating athletes and coaches about the importance of menstruation in sport & performance.

At OGQ, she serves as an Athlete Manager. She is responsible for recognizing the requirements of athletes supported by OGQ, tracking their training & performance, and collectively working with the OGQ sports science team, coaches, and federations to enable the athlete to perform at the highest level. She is also involved in identifying athletes across various sports for OGQ to support.

OGQ is a not-for-profit foundation, which supports training and preparation of athletes in India who have the potential of winning an Olympic medal. The mission of the OGQ is to help Indian athletes and para athletes win Olympic and Paralympic Gold medals. The organization scouts for potential medal talent, identifies areas of support, and works with all stakeholders to aid deserving talent.
